Unless Pedersen and Frost are injured again, I don't see room for Dawes in the team next year. I think he would be agreeable to a trade if he was told "either go to team x or play for Casey". He will never be a good player for us. Having a key forward that can't take a mark is as useful as having a screen door on a submarine.

I love this. Winning a premiership by switching to a club that's already dominant (a la Frawley) would not even come close to winning one with a club that you have helped to dig out of a rut. I think that players that have left us will watch on in envy when we start to become successful, even if they are experiencing success themselves.

The only real flaw that I saw in Trengove's game was his speed, and that wasn't always a problem for him. If he can get healthy and regain his speed, he will be a very valuable addition to our side.

You're absolutely correct about where his issues lie, but you have to consider the fact that perhaps finding out that no other clubs are interested in him will only further decrease his confidence. I hope that this isn't the case as I've always been in the group that has defended him, but I think Jack is the type that responds to the carrot, not the stick.

I like the look of Reid, and think he may be one that we stand a decent chance at poaching. With Buddy & Tippett, he seems out of place in their team, especially when they're playing on the smaller SCG surface. I think he would be a drastic improvement on Dawes and would help make the forward line look more complete.
