  1. If that happens Timothy RAB you know who everyone will blame don’t you 😳🤣
  2. Random thoughts. How good was Galls handball receive tap back to Lampard in the last quarter that went to Campbell who then kicked to Zanker who goaled. Play of the day. I have worked out that I have a subconscious Hanks over Hore bias. The goal Tyler kicked where she tackled, cleanly picked up the loose ball, ran past the Geelong players to kick truly had me off the couch yelling ‘she’s just too good!’ Then Kate kicks the Petracca from the pocket (Mahoney playing the Picket role) and I was way less celebratory than I should have been. Campbell is coming on nicely isn’t she. Only 42% game time but 8 disposals, 9 hit outs a couple of tackles but also 2 clearances and that goal assist. Tahlia Gillard is getting better with every match back. Handy timing coming into finals Bannon needs some Shelley Heath tackling lessons. I know the high half forward role is a difficult one to play but she is having very little influence on the game. I think she is possibly a bit lucky that there isn’t much pressure on her position. Having said that she is just as likely to kick 3 next week and I’ll be calling her an integral part of the team. Aside from her faux pas of burning off Zanker standing by herself in the square Maggie Mahoney is looking like she is fitting in nicely. Wotherspoon is going to be worrying opposition teams for many years to come. Has a great combination of speed, strength and some size
  3. Her tap work is pretty good too. She seems to know where the mids are going and has soft hands.
  4. Hore Eliza Mac Fitz Heath Hanks Chaplin
  5. Doesn’t really matter Ghosty, whichever way you cut it we are the 3rd best side in it. We don’t respond well to extreme pressure.
  6. They were cleaner than us
  7. Apparently Eden Zanker has had a contract in front of her all year but is yet to sign. According to the W show she has connections in WA and both Freo and WC are chasing her hard. It would be devastating to lose her but would we get compensated given she is out of contract?
  8. Perhaps I am basing this on past performance but I have the order atm as Nth, Lions and then us. Hope to be proven wrong next weekend
  9. Eliza Mac Hore Zanker Heath Hanks Paxy Apologies to most of the rest of the team
  10. Had a blast. I met Ghostie and got a hug. Loved the feel of the place, bit like suburban footy back in day but without the biffo. First group I saw as I was getting out of the car were a group of Muslim Demon supporters, the [censored] community were well represented, lots of young families and a couple of drag queens were wandering around. Come to think about it, given this very diverse group were all there to watch the elite comp of women's footy it really was nothing like watching suburban footy back in the day 🤣. As for the footy I thought the skills look better in ‘real life’ than they do on tele. They also hit bloody hard. The game has already been well commented on here but I thought Zanker, Hore, Eliza Mac, Hanks and Fitz were probably the difference. Paxy good too as was Shelley Heath. Agree that Rigoni had her most prominent game but she was playing on Zippy who was probably the Swans best. She is going to have to develop more of a tank next off season though as she ran out of petrol tickets in the last. Brisbane in Brisbane will be big next week eh.
  11. I will definitely get there early although I think my face painting days are behind me 🤣. Put an extra sausage on the BBQ, I’ll be the slightly lost looking, old bloke. No excuses tomorrow, that’s a strong side we have named. Go Dees!
  12. I am coming down to Melbourne and this will be my first ever AFLW game. Would love to meet up with any Demonlanders who will be at the match. Go Dees
  13. Port and Collingwood have shown other sides how to beat us; bring intense pressure all match. Mick is going to have to work out a way for us to absorb pressure and get it cleanly to the outside. If we can’t work through this it will be a very short finals campaign for us
  14. Hanks McNamara Fitz Goldie The Spoon
  15. I should know but who is Radar? Thank you for you reports Ghosty
  16. 6 Chaplin 5 Fitz 4 Harris 3 Hanks 2 McNamara 1 Hore
  17. Remember Jim Stynes when he was crook, sitting in the crowd behind the goals with Mr. Wonaeamirri. That was brilliant
  18. INS – O’Hehir OUTS – Rigoni (omitted) Glad to see O’Hehir back obviously but Rigoni is very stiff to be dropped.
  19. Poor Jacinta has been out of action for two seasons now. She came with big wraps. I assume she is seen as a L. Pearce replacement. Does anyone know of that the case of maybe another key position? Any info greatly appreciated
  20. Very happy for Fitzsimon’s for the five votes from each coach. Given she won the Demon spirit award last year I’m sure she will be well celebrated this week
  21. You made me look it up. Good news, according to this both Maeve and Tahlia are signed to the end of 2027
  22. Hanks Chaplin Fitzsimmons Hore Wotherspoon McNamara We need to talk about Ryleigh Wotherspoon. 17 disposals, 7 tackles, 338 metres gained, 1 goal and that mark of the day in the last. A break out game. Her bio reads “She’s also represented Queensland and Australia in softball, cricket, and soccer”. I could be wrong but she probably has some talent and hand eye coordination 😳🤣. Will only get better.
  23. Hopefully we will have a fit and firing Lampy back for the end of the year and finals. Her class and experience would complete the backs
  24. Current ladder position: 2nd (5-1) Degree of difficulty R1-6: 13.3 (17th hardest) Degree of difficulty R7-12: 10 (equal 12th hardest) Upcoming games against current top eight: 3 The run home As opposed to past seasons, this year we have been kissed on the bot bot with our fixture. We have been given time to settle into the year with games against bottom clubs, then get the opportunity of a tune up against teams currently sitting 5th, 7th and 8th on the way home. The penultimate game against Brisbane in Brisbane should give us a pretty good indication as to how we are travelling If we can keep our list relatively healthy we really have no excuses not to finish the home and away in the top two.
