There was an interview with Dusty before he was drafted and when asked about school he said “football is my life”. I remember thinking that I hoped football worked out for him as he obviously didn’t have a plan B. Random thoughts The commentators rightly praised Heath’s perfectly weighted handball to Mahoney that led to The Spoons goal. However Maggie’s balance with the one handed take and then kick was just as good. She has been an astute pick at 21 in last years draft. The extra good thing about Gillard’s end of match tackle was who it was on. That would be one Chelsea Randall, a five time AA, three time premiership player and captain. Who cares, certainly not Tahlia who followed it up with an extra push and then gave her a spray. Too friggin good!

I could be wrong but I think Ghosty said recently in another thread that Eden was more likely to stay. Had to do with her partner getting a work contract extension in Melbourne. There must be some conflicting emotions being Daisy. Knowing you have the ability to make your team better but also still having some loyalty towards your old coach and the women you played with

I tend to agree with the first part - I don’t know where our demographic heartland is these days but I would guarantee it is not within cooee of Casey Fields. Having our home games there is not setting us up for success. As for the standard declining that is simply untrue. Improvement may not have been lineal but this version of the Melbourne side would beat our 2017 team by 200 points.

The four home sides would be favoured? North, Blues, Us and Crows. Weird fixture with two replays from last week and one from the round before.
