Wanted the kids to stay up and watch with me , She who must be obeyed overruled me. With the fear of making them watch a last gasp defeat I didn't argue. They'll have to refer the video tape. Go Demons !

Which is just another reason why whenever Demetriou starts carping on about maintaining the integrity of the competition I feel the need to grab him by his straining lapels and delivering a Liverpool kiss.

I , like most have great hopes for Watts but .... When he realises that he the 196cm marking target and not the crumber the better. (WTF is Neeld/Craig/Malthouse telling him?) When he learns that if he doesn't get the ball the 1st time he can actually go in and try again a second. When he looks past leading players 30-40 meters away and has the confidence to have the odd ping from fiddy will be nice. When he realises he's a big unit and unlikely to get killed out there will be great.

Square Peg, Round Hole - Exactly why we need Neeld!!!!
Fork 'em replied to Vipercrunch's topic in Melbourne Demons
The problem is no-one expected the complete turnaround from attacking to defensive football. Most would have expected and appreciated a happy medium. It's all very well for us that are seasoned to whats happening right now to try to remain patient but getting flogged playing uninspiring football every week is making it very hard to keep my kids(the next generation) on the straight and narrow. If this carp isn't sorted soon , they and those like 'em are lost forever. -
No, Jamar is having a normal year by his standards. 2010 was a fluke.

Fork 'em replied to Vipercrunch's topic in Melbourne Demons
Whereas I think we Neeld must utilise what he has right now to the best of their skillset and implement his plan slowly but surely by choosing players in upcoming drafts that better suit what he has in mind. What is happening now is soul destroying. -
Favourite non-MFC players to watch

Bartel when the game needs to be won. Franklin for freakishness. -
I'd be happy with that too. Purely to send Brad Scott into meltdown. He's far too smug when refering to us.

Garry Lyon's six-month rescue mission over
Fork 'em replied to Brayshaws' Helmet's topic in Melbourne Demons
FWIW , it wouldn't have bothered Eddie if the coach he wanted was in the middle of a finals campaign. And thank god we didn't get the negative Lyon. Problem is, we got the negative Neeld. -
When I read the title I thought "everyone." I hate with a passion Essendon , Collingwood and Carlton in that order but to create the most mayhem I would select Carton. With Ratten under pump for their last 2 loses imagine the pressure he would be experiencing if we got over them. We've been the final nail in the coffin for a few opposition coach sackings in our time and it'd be great to have Rattens head over the mantle piece aswell.

That's because like us , they're lost for words how totally hopeless we are and can't fathom how far we've gone backwards.

The only way Cloke would go to Freo would be a Scully like package deal. Dad gets to go too. Having said that , I don't want him. Not for a Million a season ....That's crazy money for someone who's a dodgy kick. Now if we were talking an elite Mid ... Maybe.

I'll throw in Magner. He's on the cheap anyhoo.

Flags earn respect . Not getting flogged in GF's.

Attn: MFC Senior Players ... Is Losing Fun?
Fork 'em replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
Lloyd came from a club that had beaten us up for the last 30 years , little wonder they don't respect us. -

This can be a selling point to attract players to the club. You don't have to be a top player, run too hard or perform consistently to get Buddy , Mitchell , Rioli , Hodge money with us. -
Come on man .... Talk about clutching at straws.

YOU GIVE ME POSSESSIONS AND I'LL SHUT UP !
-
Pfft ..... I'd be wrapped if they did .

That was a genuine question . I couldn't be bothered checking. You obviously battle in the football comprehension stakes tho'.

Do ya think they're cracking smiles and having amusing twinkles in their eyes cause they can't believe how inept we are? -
Remind me when our last win was when all this goal kicking was going on.

Bulltish . Bizkit is spot on.

It is when you leave the 'G' in your classic GT350 'stang. -
Danihers biggest problem was he was a victim of our lazy culture. Explain why we could play for a flag in 2000 with players like Neitz , Uze , Farmer ,Robertson etc in there prime and young guns like Green and Bruce showing plenty and then fall to 11th the next year. Had a decent year and played some cracking football in a semi against adelaide in '02. Dropped to 14th in '03. Sit on top in rd18 of '04 to loose the last 4 games and knocked out've the elimination by the Bombers. Finished 7th in '05. I haven't bothered mentioning the slumps we had during the good years either when whe'd drop strings of games or lose crucial matches to bottom sides. I've had issue with Daniher playing favorites etc but really he didn't know if he was Artha or Martha half the time. It was during his reign that the phrase " We just didn't come to play." was regularly trotted out.
