You are quite correct on both counts . Was the game Richards got his nickname (Rhino) after stomping through a couple of tacklers and sitting Dipper on his arse before slotting 1 of about 3 goals . Beat the Hawks at Princess Park who were on top at the time . Yeah , I get what yer on about and we do have far too many wowsers in powerful positions at the club just as we do here online .

Yeah mate , I saw that aswell from the cheer squad behind the goals while wearing Steven Smiths number on the back of my duffell coat . Yeah , that 1st West Coast game was the 1 when I was closest to this fella but it was all over after the first 10-15 mins . Missus told me to stop swearing or get out the back . After that I was in a dark stupor . Problem was I thought we were better than we were at the time . I'm at my worst worst when we are actually playing in games that mean something . When we're good , showing something and looking at finals etc . I'm looking forward to riding the dragon again. When that will be I don't know .

I'm scared of what Lyon would do with this list . Will kill off any creative flair they possess . The fairly ordinary footballers have stayed fairly ordinary footballers , name 1 who has developed into an A grader under his guidance . I know a few Aints supporters and I beg to differ . Reakon Grant Thomas was ahead of his time stating the use of KPI's etc and was shafted due to a personal fallout with Buttress .

Make no mistake Lyon is a 1 trick pony that makes questionable decisions on personal . He was largely responsible for the Sydney game plan . He brought that same ultra negative game plan to one of the most exciting young lists in the league and killed off any attacking flair they had . He didn't build this list that was sat probably about 10 on Malthouses clock . He inherited it due to Buttress having a personal falling out with Grant Thomas . Gave Luke Ball , argueably the heart and soul of the club , to Collingwood for NOTHING . Brought in Lovett who has very questionable personal issues . Has refused to bend his now outdated game plan even though any-one who scores more that 10 goals against them will win and often comfortably . Yay , lets get 'im . Pfft .

If this club wants to not only just survive but flourish in the future it cannot afford to have Ross Lyon as coach . This club needs to be exciting to attract new supporters , members and sponsors and Ross lyons brand of footy will NOT do that . He will have supporters switching off our games in droves , much like I probably will . There is no way I could handle watching the Bloods code/Aints footy played by our club , a mind numbing style which has been a blight on the game .

Although the Cats were very cocky they were also very susceptible to pressure . Most of their games were over after a 1st qr onslaught but if teams could withstand the ealy blitz and be close late in the game the Cats became very jittery . Hawthorn were lucky to benefit from this after the Cats poor kicking early in the GF. Eades win/loss ratio does stack up nicely but I do worry about his tendancy to build his side high on skill and like us low on pysical power . His years of experience are a massive plus IMO . Lyons win/loss ratio will always be skewed . Took over a very promising side at the point of maturing .

This line I agree with 100% . I'm Torn . Would love to get Malthouse but would settle for Eade . Has had 14years experience in the top job , has made some mistakes but would have no doubt learnt from them . Has the chance to reload with a young developing side to go again. Was impressed with the half interview I saw last night on the FS . Gotta take your hat off to the fellas with the fire in 'em to keep coming back for more . I am cautious of the impression I get that he couldn't quite turn the Bulldogs basketcase culture around tho'. Also of the fact his Bulldog side was very similar to what we like to build . Skill over Power which leads me back to the very top of this post .

Ross Lyon is a 1 trick pony who's only trick is to kill off any excitement the game has to offer . He made changes in the 1st grand final that got his team back in the game but failed to learn from the experience the following week when he reverted straight back to type . Tried the move of Gilbert forward again when the game was beyond them but couldn't pull it off twice in a row . If we ever employed a coach with such a negative approach to the game I would as a supporter give it away .

Why ? The guy should be in the leadership group standing up when things are down . Instead you can back it in that he'll be 1 gone missing . He should be an elite of the competition but he's not and never will be . He's got the sads now cause he can see the MFC gravey train exploited by many in the past drying up infront of him . No way should he get a 3-4 year deal .

Totally agree with you sentiments . They clearly feel they have the next 3 teams covered , which could be seen as a positive . No way do they deserve a spot tho' and will be a perfect example how the top 8 rewards mediocrity if they do sneek in .
