I love how players not in opposition teams are better than our players straight away. i would rather Gysberts than Stevens personally.even though he hasnt been playing regularly due to injury.
-
It was disappointing when he left, but everyone handles life's hardships differently. Cant say i would be super keen for much after losing my father. If he can put in some effort between now and then, and is best available then he is more than welcome back imo.
-
Doubt GWS will risk Whitfield with pick 1, its GC who we need to worry about imo, when they need inside players more than GWS also. harder to deal with GC subtly though
-
Im not convinced from what i have read that Hogan would be top 4 in next years draft or this years, which would be my query with giving up pick 3-4 for him. when he is big enough to monster his opponents and apparently struggles kicking for goal for such i highly rated teen.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JACK VINEY
Jordie_tackles replied to einstein251's topic in Melbourne Demons
There is alot of pressure on GC to do nominate him IMO. GWS can't risk Whitfield. so it will dpeend on how they rate Viney v Toumpas, Grundy and Mayes/Wines. -
Wouldnt be surprised if Collingwood nabs a Goddard type if Cloke leaves, will have that 700-800K sitting around.
-
Bad thread, would close tbh
-
It works the other way, they can bid on Viney, then enter trade week AND take MD pick 1 i believe
-
Great news, pretty happy with this. was a little worried but he has stayed strong.
-
They may have said that you are true, and i wasnt saying you are wrong but imo he is too short to be a ruck, imo 197-200 is becoming tall KPF height ie. Clarks, Tippets, Daniher coming through. And i also think he was recruited as a ruck/forward but that piece (when i scanned for the part on him) never suggested he would be used in that way when drafted. Which was under a different coaching regime. Just my thoughts on it. He is a great defender atm, and i can see him and Frawley becoming really hard to beat, thats what i like about him.

I think it is mini draft nominations Trade period/mini draft period Draft

The idea is imo that at the moment we shouldnt be using the full cap due to the low ability of our list unless it is front paying (over paying) big name players to move ect. Pay them nearly all upfront or atleast the overs part as we have the space, then return to paying all other players, mids ect what they are worth, this component doesnt change imo.
-
Pretty sure he ws never seen as being tall enough to ruck at AFL level, lots of guys ruck in TAC ect but cant at AFL.
-
Pretty sure Giles was on Ports list for 2-3 years without a break from AFL, try again
-
I like the fact that he is a pretty complete midfielder Jose, but the icing is that he has some of the best disposal in the draft from all reports, which is what we need
-
Silly if serious
-
Exactly what i heard mate, partly why the drafted Masten over Cale i believe
-
Yeah was a good player for us, never quite delivered what he often promised but was a great AFL player non the less, Thanks Brad

Beams signs for 3 ... Cloke edges closer to Dees?
Jordie_tackles replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
Richmond might be doing debt demolition, but clubs like richmond spend just as much as us if not more on their FD, paying 100% of the cap is a given tehse days so soing they cant afford cloke when they have a budget of 40Mp/a is silly imo, it is just the cap space which will effect the offer they give. Carlton are dodgy imo and they shouldnt have the money but somehow will work around it imo......maybe not We have the money and the space, we and Cloke would want to be sure he is in both our Windows imo, which wont start till 2015/16 imo and Cloke is 29/30? is this to late for us? -
I thought the same, didnt give to much away but what i did like was the im not Tom Scully im Sam Blease comment, maybe he thinks going to GWS will mean he is still seen as toms mate ect rather than his own footballer. The interview was good and i think he will sign imo talks very highly of the coaching staff atm
-
I think thats making the assumption we wont trade him and make it hard for him to stay in Melbourne

Does the rise of McDonald spell the end for Rivers?
Jordie_tackles replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
wouldnt be confident that Garland is a better defender than Rivers atm -
Thats the question.....that i dont think many people know
