I would imagin hime up forward, Sellar as general depth, we may be losing Rivers ect -
If nicho had a better kick we would all be jizzing. there is still time and another strong preseason will set him up to really make a mark. Love any player who is putting in the yards while "on holiday", also not surprised Nicho is running the tan/ running at all, is not just fast but has super endurance. Probably runs for fun this bloke.

How do we recruit mature midfielders assuming they turn down a 100K pay rise to play for a tema who has not featured in finals for over 5 years? I just dont think 100K will do it, and that we have a cap which we MUST spend on something, why not a new player with potential to step themselves and us up?

People wanted rid Jones, i bet the same people want Gysberts gone, who is it to say they couldnt be of similar ability come 3 years time?
-
Not old news when he did his knee a second time in about 12 months and was a top 10 draft prospect
-
Picture posted on the MFC facebook page of the Magnet on a bike in the altitude room. He has to be in the top 3 hardest workers and most committed at the club, says it is on his break as well. I know many players have just taken their breaks which is good they need some time off, but it is a shame he is the only one in this photo. Good on Magnet though

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JESSE HOGAN
Jordie_tackles replied to Little Richard's topic in Melbourne Demons
This is it, i used to think that the MD offered clubs some value at the top end, eg GC getting o'meara who was a clear number 1 pick for pick 4 and a bit. But we will be paying exact value on a prospect 12 months out of his draft? or more ect I know this is just KM opinion of the next draft but i like his work and the players he has ahead of Hogan are meant to be ace, Boyd being a huge KPF in the mould of Brown/Patton and Aish being the exceptional midfielder and Mcdonald being of similar value to Viney, but taller and can play as a utility so Hogan could slip into the top 3 but paying pick 4 is right on his value imo, and that is without the change we may need to offer -
MFC - I Urge you to Buy the Elsternwick Hotel
Jordie_tackles replied to dee-luded's topic in Melbourne Demons
I would imagine that the building AND that VB sign would both be heritage, that sign would have to be some kind of modern day city icon ect -
I think the lifestyle point you make is one the money, But all players must obtain a skillset while being an AFL player, part time ect, they will walk out with the majority if not all of a degree or TAFE course of some kind as i know it.
-
If it is his second knee before h is drafted then wow.......combined with his brother who also has a history of knee injuries yeah i think the writing is on the wall with this kid. Is a shame because he is a huge talent, it seems.
-
offer them a 3rd/4th rounder a Bat ect. Not saying pay overs but would not be terrible imo, maybe frustrating if the injuries continue.

I think our interest would definitely lye with Hogan as he seems capable to doing a Jack darling in 2014, and missing both picks 3-4 for a year wont help Neelds course. He knows he needs players who can help him now otherwise year 3 might be his last. I think players like Mayes, Wines, Toumpas and O'rouke will make a much bigger impact when Neeld needs them to, straight away. -
Tom Lee is meant to be in the mix to get pick according to the airchair experts.
-
I thought he had shown he was quite good when fit robbie, he is an injury risk but if no better forward options come through i think we could do alot worse than partnering him with Clark. Can Mark and has a good size body. I thoguht he was getting the best run in recent memory this season at the Dons also. worth a thought if nothing else.

Straight from Bigfooty -
Not a bad result, get him with a second rounder or get a 1 pick upgrade because he is gone prior to that?

Has been speculation of GC interest with pick 2, it chops nad changes could be.....but Hogan definitely announced himself on the weekend. I am warming more and more to him as a big need. -
Most over rated player going around. Without out doubt, hasnt been consistently good since the premiership.
-
Maric and Jacobs have been better this year tbh, on the consistency front imo NN will arrive very soon though

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JACK VINEY
Jordie_tackles replied to einstein251's topic in Melbourne Demons
In the end it isnt the worst scenario IF the only other option is Viney at 3, If the only other option is Viney at 3, then this deal is the same as switching Viney and 25 for Viney and caddy and Toy, which could turn out even or better imo. Better than the Caddy for 13 talk anyway
