WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JACK VINEY
Jordie_tackles replied to einstein251's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yep i just heard that too, also suggested that when it comes to it Viney would want to walk straight back after 2 years. no questions. Hutchy, Wallcae ect everyone suggested we would not take him if push came to shove, Viney snr saying Jack is not top 3 in this draft previously. Interesting -
Did you just comment on our facebook page complaining stuie?
-
the sky is not falling, Tippet is still an option, as is Cam Pederson to fill a role, Fitz to build some more size and take a first team spot. Even dawes if Leigh Brown and Neeld want him, is worth a look due to his 2011 form imo MFC will role on
-
Pretty sure international rookies count outside the cap and players on your full list
-
It is a hard cap. I think Goddard is inetersting, essendon missed finals so i wouldnt sya they are a big club at present and havnt been since 2000. Big clubs wont have the $$$ the OP suggest they should to throw around, if anything it means we can throw dollars at people and not pay anything extra.

We can go over it and over it but we all know things are never set in stone. "insert Mitch Clark example here"

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CAMERON PEDERSEN
Jordie_tackles replied to Hannibal's topic in Melbourne Demons
Collingwood signing Lynch should shut them out of the Pederson chase imo. Or his interest in that move as he would just be competing for a spot again, when Melbourne can offer him money and a spot to loose -
They wont get pick 2 for Tippet that is massive overs, it will be something like Gorringe and a second round pick imo. edit maye the pick they get for Caddy will be more apporopriate but something like that Gorringe and a pick between 10-20
-
He has shown more than Watts as a forward but far less as a player in general. Injured to the max. Pretty sure he signed for 4 years last trade period i think mate also, so is well and truly contracted
-
I would have thought a player leaving for brisbane would be similar to a player leaving for melbourne $$$$ not premierships like speculated
-
ok will give you that
-
i think it was more than that, generally unhappy at his role ect at brisbane I dont see this in Tippet at Adelaide
-
Mitch was disillusioned at the Lions, i do not get this feeling from Kurt tbh
-
I dont think it is necessarily outside players, just payers who can win their own ball, make good decisions and play inside and out. Playing a solid inside game, tackling pressure ect is it. Good midfielders but i dont think we need an abundance of outside players, blease can do this a bit imo. But we may need 1 more i think inside, players who can just use it when its their turn. no soft players.

Movember is on

It is all too hard to judge for us average punters. As has been pointed out, Clark was announced on the Freo web page, before we stole his services so until things can be signed, which isnt until tomorrow, then we will know. people saying he has signed, are wrong imo. Dont WC need to see the offer, which cant be lodge until tomorrow, then accept/reject it? then he can sign?

The once only Nudge/Chili rumor round up
Jordie_tackles replied to Tolstoys Nudge's topic in Melbourne Demons
Thanks for clarifying HG I honestly have had no idea who is in the know around these parts, but always appreciate people sharing what they can. As i said earlier i think Butcher at his best and fit would be worth alot, it is just a matter of managing him, or if he is cooked or not? im sure the club will work this all out. Maybe it is a money ball thing, strike while his value is limited after a bad year? -
Or Lynch plays the Leigh Brown role, which i think was a big loss this season. And dawes might recapture some of his 2011 form?

The once only Nudge/Chili rumor round up
Jordie_tackles replied to Tolstoys Nudge's topic in Melbourne Demons
I remember this too RF, made me angry at the time but if he is open to the move and willing to go as hard as anyone, AND Neeld ect see value in him then everyone can turn a new page imo -
The once only Nudge/Chili rumor round up
Jordie_tackles replied to Tolstoys Nudge's topic in Melbourne Demons
SFebey mate, he wasnt playing on being related this was pointed out by another respected poster when the guy got shot down. they were just sharing the info/rumour like anyone would, then heaps of people got upity about Butcher moving clubs, then it was brought up he may be related to col. So it wasnt a i know col and this is going to happen, it was a i heard form a good source that we are into butcher for a player we may be interested in trading, i may have made it seem like he used the garland thing where he didnt, i thought it may add some strength to the rumour itself though. this is said qoute -

Good to know then robbie, i was more getting it out in the open incase some people would not believe such a thing. Butcher himself is an interesting prospect. Has some talent, doesnt seem to be the best kick and will be injured if Port want rid of him, can mark ect though -

Guy on big footy (who claims to be col garlands brother) suggesting we are into Butcher with an undisclosed player who we "may" be willing to trade the other way being offered. Another very loose rumour but seems to be what this thread is all about -
unlike all our other tall forward options atm who are tearing it up and monstering defences?
-
You cant play into form in the magoo's magoo's, will be hard to step up VFL/SANFL - AFL imo yet another step back I dont know of his shutout situation though
-
Shoenmakers got monstered by Tippet and Cloke and imo was lucky Sydney dont have a key forward of any true worth, Goodes rotating Shiels 183/80 Savage 185/80 Young 187/87 Smith 188/77 Bruest 184/76 Suckling 187/82 all dont play KPP, Watts has been fine playing 3rd man in defence ect or wing. Gunston is the best example and he plays behind Franklin, Roughead and Hale compared to us just having Mitch/ no even for half the year I think it is harder to judge than this tbh
