Chill out mate, you've nit picked his sentence about trengove and then disregarded a pretty nice analysis of which areas we could do with some more talent. I don't understand why people write negative posts like your one, this is not a competition about who knows the most about footy or who has the best feel of the game. I dont think the new ruck rules will make all that much difference to Jamars worth to our side. He's always been a center bounce specialist anyway, so the enw rules wont effect him too much there.

good OP. I think Sylvia needs to haev a good 2013 and get his name on the 'walk up start mids list', becasue the glaring issue with our midfielders is that we have no experienced, consistant older player in our midfield and we sure need some!

Anyone else think our 'state of play' in the grand scheme of things is even better than it seems due to Davey, Gawn and Taggert likely to play much bigger roles for us next year (reported they are over their injuries). Taggert especially could add a lot.

We'll said Ron I actually think that in amongst all of the Viney, Dawes and Pick 4 hype people will forget about Byrnes. I think he may have the biggest on field impact out of the lot of them

i liked hearing Neeld say the he 'owed it' to the core of the list to recruit the best players available that could fill key roles and make the team better. I think he knows as much as the next person that we need to start winning becasue footy players are competative peple by nature and get sick of loosing year in year out

Its funny, during the home and away season we had articles written about our club on a almost daily basis, and the trend has continued throughout trade week(s). Now we have a quiet day or two and everyone is panicing! I say sit back and enjoy the peace and quiet! I'd love us to sign Dawes and Ray/Broughton, even Rodan, but theres still plenty of time left to do all/none of them

Interesting about Bennell. Wonder whether he'll get a year or 2 contract extension, or whether the club are just doign the right thing by him until he might be delisted. Out of all of the players im most interested to see what we decide on his future - on one hand he is still quite young, has good skills and pace and is always one of the best trainers during preseason. On the other hand he has never been comfortable at AFL level, yet is at VFL level. Do teh FD think he can make the step up?

I wouldn't trade col garland, ou of everyone on the list he most likley to play the jarred rivers role if he goes to the cats

20 and Petterd might be overs, but lets not kid ourselves; we need some more starting 22 forwards. Clark aside the forward line has been a revolving door. Green & Jurrah are gone, and Howe spends time in the midfield. I'm happy to get Dawes for pick 20 and petterd, but hope we havent offerd him the same coin as Clark

Who are these accumulators that you speak of? We never have hardly any players with over 30 touches, and generally jones was the only one you could count on to get more than 20!

Martin is big bodied but is no good! Can't believe how overrated he is on this site, you'd think he was drew Petrie if you didn't know any better
