  1. By definition an opportunity to dance with someone else’s sister.
  2. Lucky we’re not playing Carlton… Oops that’s next week…
  3. Sunday Morning World Championship Wrestling. Beam me there Scotty!
  4. Accuracy has improved. Well done Choco.
  5. Obviously time to get them in the sheds at 2/7 time for a re-think, re-calculation and a re-set. Momentum is king.
  6. Gary’s got the beard again! Splendid! Tim, teenage bomber prodigy. Is he just bored or has the little man on the inside gone awol?
  7. Glad this thread is now finally back on track, after wandering through the fuchsias, tulips and broken glass along memory lane. From dee-railment to re-arailment. What excites most is there will some new blood in the team, with young Caleb & Co clamping at the bit. Could be some real beauties out there with the beginnings of the changing of the guard.
  8. OD that would be called ‘Revisionism’ at AFL HQ and contrary to current dogma. With the winter revolution occurring in 1999 whilst Tsar Wayne Jackson was still the anointed CEO. Andrew Demetriou was waiting at the left of centre wing for his opportunity.
  9. Roan Steele matinee idol, appeared at last week’s match sim at Casey Fields. Young bloke can play and didn’t disgrace himself in the final final exit Casey Demons were fixtured in last season. Will continue to watch his progress and that of other young Demons this upcoming season.
  10. David Bowie wrote ‘All the Young Dudes’ for Mott the Hoople. lan Hunter with the signature very dark shades was a singer with the band. Mick Ronson also was alumni, associated famously with Bowie’s ‘Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars’. Lou Reed’s ‘Transformer’ album etc. Given the recent spate of gloom descending on DL, definitely got a buzz out of the boys “Taking Care of Business” on the track during Sixes slide show. The half empty and half way to Hades fraternity could defer to the BTO acronym as Backman Turning (it)Over.
  11. Angus Brayshaw on today’s performance would be top of the leader board or very close to it. Any number of the others would be still working on their ‘skills’ … …swings, slices, drivers or irons? and put put
  12. Cheers 6 another terrific production. ❤️ the BTO takes you back.
  13. Andy must be overly eager to celebrate Lunar New Year in this most auspicious Year of the Dragon Demon.
  14. You’re suggesting #19 visited a Bayou coven during the off-season?
  15. For the benefit of those south of the Rio Grande, north of the Tweed the term port is preferred.
  16. Cheers appreciate the abstract, summary and key points fellas. So that finally puts to bed the supposed benefits of the Tapp brothers synergism. KISS and make up works a treat.
  17. So get out the abacuses, slide rules, Casio desk calculators, power up the IBM mainframe and call in the statistical analyst think tank. Q. To ‘objectively’ decide what? A. Max Gawn as a ruck man ‘qualitatively’ has the greatest influence on team success of any of the ruck men in the land.
  18. Johnny English? AFL media were giving the impression all was well down at the kennel. Lucky Rory Lobb is the understudy.
  19. Richo’s straight from the horse’s mouth injury and recovery report. Provides a fair bit of illumination about where a number of blokes are positioned relative to the start of the season. It should also debunk some of the prophet of doom speculation which has propensity to be trumped about on DL. Credit where credit is due, as the season proper approaches the club has upped the ante on keeping supporters informed.
  20. Picket that's a second Joshua boost in recent reports. Many here would have him closer to the penny dreadful end of the spectrum but none the less an interesting watch. Has some ability just needs to overcome perennial stagefright.
