Talent gulf between Suns and Casey appears huge. Yet prior to the North paupers being bestowed the AFL’s bounteous largesse this mob were regularly crying poor. Cargo Cult is alive and well, plus they also bend bananas.- CASEY: Rd 21 vs Gold Coast Suns
Ben Brown a credible performance but Matthew Jefferson virtually unsighted difficult to visualise a 2024 debut now. Roy George had a go with a little bit of X factor hidden under his bushel. AMW’s confidence has grown with senior experience this season. Endurance, speed, combative in the clinches and shows a penchant for breaking the lines. Another preseason set to take on the big league.- CASEY: Rd 21 vs Gold Coast Suns
DZ you can ‘rage’ against the machine operators. But the acronym AFL and phrase chance of reform are mutually exclusive. The Juggernaut will simply voraciously pillage on shredding $$$$$$ from those that can least afford it and redistribute wealth to Rupert and his ilk. Time for a long holiday l know. (Coming soon folks). The trolls, whiteant eaters and flat earth sect seem to have rested control of the Tardis from the more rationale and sane. But God grant us the grace at the ‘G season finale of the Demons ‘maiming’ Maynard and Company. Let the reigns loose Goody!- Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
Guess Picket’s off his chops.- Draft or Recruit
Post the Prendergast pantomime, JT’s got something of the ET’s when comes to the top drawer. DRAFT!- PREGAME: Rd 23 vs Gold Coast
- Where's Kentfield at?
Performance wise I thought he was more 'engaged' in the game last week and able to get to more contests for the ball. Which was most noticeable during the first quarter, before the dogs closed out the game. It appeared he was given a go as ruck in the forward half on some occasions. An astute move by the coach, not unlike playing Matthew Jefferson in defence earlier in the season for a few games. Gets the young blokes where the ball is more likely to be. On Luker's skills, he can position himself and mark the ball OK, but his kicking has let him down particularly from a distance. Something he and the coaches would be working on one would think.- PREGAME: Rd 22 vs Port Adelaide

- My 3 word player analysis V Umpdogs
joeboy - lost his tether Bowey - improved second half Trent Rivers - beacon in the gloom Tom Sparrow - Max Gawn - captain’s knock (again) Ed Langdon- season standard game Fritsch - some spirited cameos AFL/media - poisoned golden chalice Umpires. - can’t do Jack Bevo - australian rules throwball The rest - prayer helps apparently- CASEY: Rd 19 vs Footscray
Disappeared under an avalanche of WBd’s goals. Moves well and has neat skills just needs to be more involved.- CASEY: Rd 19 vs Footscray
As dusk descends and the the lights illuminate the last rites at the EJ Whitten Oval. As Casey sinks deeper into the gloom, methinks it’s time for a new broom. Time is almost up for yesterday’s roosters who are no longer useful boosters. But consigned to the back cupboard in the Property Stewards office. Awaiting re-assignment as feather dusters. Onto the ‘G for last bites or a little redemption? Getting the red rattler now.- CASEY: Rd 19 vs Footscray
Casey defence being cut to ribbons.- CASEY: Rd 19 vs Footscray
* Shoot out at the kennel! * only problem Casey six goals down- CASEY: Rd 19 vs Footscray
BBB free launches a mighty drop punt JEFFO magician goal square snap!- CASEY: Rd 19 vs Footscray
Verrall smarts pass onto JEFFO’s lap helicopter punt goes thru!- CASEY: Rd 19 vs Footscray
Going OK defensive efforts and physicality definitely up. Ben Brown contrary to opinion is going alright. Little bit of master and apprentice interaction happening on occasion.- CASEY: Rd 19 vs Footscray
Casey having purple patch against the breeze could threaten in the last?- CASEY: Rd 19 vs Footscray
Smithy’s commentator keeps repeating ‘slipper’ ad nauseam Give the man a pair.- CASEY: Rd 19 vs Footscray
If that was 15 metres umpire you’re vertically challenged.- CASEY: Rd 19 vs Footscray
If Bevo ain’t playing Saunders he should allow transfer to us. Too good to be playing seconds. Lachie and Jack should get together for a round of golf or Smash Palace Derby. Reminisce about old times.
