Hit a fork on the road to premiership glory.

Admittedly young Oliver hasn’t exactly set the world on fire, but l believe there is something to work with. Re-defining his physique, building his tank, honing his skills and playing senior footy. Where for those who are truly observant have been flashes of brilliance. Roma non uno die aedificata est applies grasshopper, not for whom the bell tolls.
  3. Welcome to ‘Dodge City’!
  4. She left Lauren holding the 'baby'. And exited stage left. May I also make a discreet inquiry about your ironing rates? Not my favourite chore.
  5. Yes agree given that Geelong are participating in finals at AFL AND VFL levels. Current priorities of players would not likely to be beyond the finals horizon. Opportunities may still occur for promotion into the senior side and a change of fortune, from being overlooked to feeling more valued. Obviously a wait and see re-availability. I'm sure there would be multiple suitors in any case. The media driven frenzy, rife with hyperbole and speculation about possible player movement has reached a premature, overheated, fever pitch. Personally I try to avoid the threads 'running hot' on individual players thru multiple pages on these boards etc. The 'lids' will finally come off by Black Friday 13th of October. Question the sustainability of it all. Hope nobody gets burnt.
  6. Brandan Parfitt Darwin boy and a friend of my youngest daughter. Very generous with his congratulatory praise back in ‘21 when we won the flag. My daughter was able reprise that the following season when the Cats took the urn. Looks a solid player worthy of serious consideration. Given our midfield requires some strengthening and experience.

Avatar getting dog eared and worn? This one may suit l’esprit du temps.

Like to add McQueen to that list. Conspicuous by his absence. Did recall a single OD post in recent memory SWYL but the prolific posts of the past no.

Ode to Max Max stands like a Colossus Enduring indifferent fortune With swings long and low Brightened with the rarest of premiership sunshine Glimpses from the snow Midfields come and go Once it was the fearsome four Now its down to the ageing few amongst the emerging brew Give me the Sherrin bounced high I'll win the ruck again Seven All Australians Places you amongst the best to play Australian rules May it continue next season 'til the next window opens Fate surely owes another flag
  10. Just passing the 'fashion is transient and style lingers' microscope over some in the AA team photo. Blazers buttoned up correctly almost universal, except front row second from the left, whose identity fortunately eludes me. Must of been too hot under the photographer's lamp, poor lamb. Shame the state of dishevelment is further multiplied by the open collar. Wardrobe must have run out of ties after Zorko. Although the Sydney crowd almost get away with it. Must be the all seasons lawn bowls fraternity look. Jesse's attempt at a Windsor belies his neat goal kicking skills. Zorko's is slightly askew and the length suggests a Freudian slip off the prêt-à-porter cliff. Plus the tan Blundstones are simply out of place. Pleasingly Max , Jezza and suprisingly Daicos, show how to maintain dress standards. Although Cripps needs to consult a mirror occasionally and the Bont's socks have some insidious advertising visible. Is it his brand? Overall fortunately most are worthy recipients of the blazer because of their football prowess.
  11. Not when supplemented with a Sir Les Patterson. He can wear his AA Blazer to fancy dress party's, soirees, masquerades and mad mondays with aplomb.
  12. George Grey and Corey Ellison former Casey listed players are both short listed for the Fothergill Round Mitchell medal this season, and according to the 'pundits' may be considered as candidates for AFL recruitment. So the cupboard might not as bare as Old Mother Hubbard makes out. Second placed Roan Steel played mainly in defence this year, but has the all ground game that may appeal to AFL list decision makers. Collingwood seem to pluck out later bloomers from obscurity with aplomb why not MFC?

Haddock under the influence, having a dummy keyboard spit imbues a number of the less temperate here on ER.
  14. By allocating F the writer is clearly clueless about assessment. Assuming the range of grades available is from A to F. F is a grade given when a candidate has enrolled but has near never attended, attempted any meaningful coursework or participated in any assessment task. Assessors usually withdraw the candidate is such circumstances. The team attended all matches as per the season fixture. Participated by selecting and fielding a team for each required round. Successfully passed eleven out twenty-three examinations. Out of the remaining twelve tasks four were losses by less than a goal. Successful assessment should be clearly enunciated. Be rigorous but fair and importantly have integrity. Not plucked out one’s [censored]. Despite being able to reasonably articulate his case study, Dylan made an absolute bloch of assessing the Season grade for the Demons and will need to repeat next year. After re-consideration by the MRO, Tribunal and Grievances Oversight. D+

  19. Kobe Wagyu? Is that one of JT’s smokies? Could be a trifle overdone.
  20. QD Is that question ironical? Or is it implying the team performance folded like a cheap suit?
  21. And I thought there were better tailors down there in Warrnambool. Must have all gone since the demise of Fletcher Jones.
  22. Why all the angst about the weather? Thought we’d be favoured by the conditions. After all we were a wet weather revelation after downing the bombers earlier in the season. People still hunt Magpie Geese up here in these woods. So w’ere OK with open season at the ‘G tonight. Mr Ed might still ponder if the ‘all duck and no dinner’ appellation still applies. Well as long as we’re not their bunnies. Go Demons!
