Not wishing to overcook the egg here. Some solid ins trust they’re ready to fire. This is a cut throat final no tomorrow land for the losers. Noah Yze that last game he played for Casey at Whitten Oval was dynamic. His recovery appears to be first rate after a late season hamstring injury. There’s an AFL footballer in there somewhere.- Wade Derksen
A salient observation old dee with the leadership structure in ‘disarray.’ Small committees or ‘soviets’ have popped up across the barricades. Generating electronic leaflets and virtual posters amidst the ideas feast. Many will simply fall to Earth, some more worthy will take flight.- Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Grand Final Day. Peel off apeing the Super Bowl and you might find some football underneath. But not necessary the space to enjoy it. Snopp Dogg’s world? Not exactly uplifting don’t need the misogynism either. A personal playlist; Waiting for the Man Sweet Jane White Light White Heat *Perfect Day *bit of a cheat think lovely spring day and your team wins. Demons!- Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Having Jordan Lewis involved would be an excellent idea. Intelligent, insightful and tuned in. During the immediate discussion post the Goodwin dismissal. He suggested the new coach would need to instil some ‘fear’ into the playing group. As John Cale of Velvet Underground fame opined “Fear is a man’s best friend.”- Wade Derksen
New coach new thinking new Era. Move On! Adams and Kentfield are the future. Last l time checked the Titanic had gone down. Yet some folk continue to be content with rearranging the deck chairs.- Wade Derksen
More than a hint of a South Sea bubble about it.- Wade Derksen

First game watched ‘live’ since KB. Diabolically the same result. Demons’ performance reminiscent of a Robert Louis Stevenson gothic horror novel. Steven May’s cameo of the Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde character certainly provides some guidance for the coming off season summer holidays pantomimes. Given the calamities of the football year according to the the Veil of Negativity sect. (A thorough read thru all this thread is not recommended). Some buoys still floating defiantly in a sea of gloom. Congratulations! Perhaps last night’s performance is better reflected by ‘A Tale of Two Teams’ Collingwood the antipodes equivalent of Eastenders. Think Abbotsford and environs. Demons… calls for sack the coach(es), delist trade out players, storm the AGM, off with his or her head, poison pens in the AFL press etc give an air of instability, revolutionary upheaval. To the Dickens with it! The third quarter performance should be encapsulated. Added to the powerful Saturn rocket of the incoming senior coach and launched into the 2026 season. Leaving the disappointments to fall back to Earth in 2025. As we leave Earth orbit, have enjoyed the insights, good humour and banter of the ‘true believers’ on Demonland this season past. Stick fast TC.- VOTES: Rd 24 vs Collingwood

Meanwhile deep in the demonland bunker.- Youth going forward
Triple treat trio shot in the arm for supporters. All deservedly so, extended on the rookies list for next year. Great story Jai Culley getting a second chance lifeline after the list cutoff earlier this season. Thanks AFL. The two territory boys; Ricky Mentha has shown some promise with a dash of x-factor and smarts as a small forward with Casey. An opportunity awaits with Kysaiah going to the centre for a Jeffrey Garlett successor. Andy Moniz-Wakefield has kept his head up after a shocker knee injury. Reports suggest he has been most diligent with his recovery and is progressing well for a return to on field action 2026. Pleased the club sees his potential and gives him an opportunity to fulfill it. Finally I'm nominating all three lads for the pencil moustache award this Movember.- Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
“He’s a lumberjack and he’s OK. He sleeps all night and he works all day.”- Youth going forward
A well read literate poster's reference to Xavier Herbert of 'Capricornia' fame. Young Lindsay may turn out to be a true renaissance man painting the odd Chloe.- Who Will Be Our Next Coach?

Casey were never seriously challenged Mboy38. Land of the giraffes down there. Long way from ball drop to boot. And it showed. Plus the handball while not perfect busted open the game for a stirring Casey victory. Agree re: final series- CASEY: Rd 21 vs Box Hill Hawks
