A nice dilemma for the match committee. Oliver the obvious in - maybe for Spargo, or Kozzie who has been a big disappointment since his suspension. Petty maybe if he is fully fit but for whom? Both Smith and Tomlinson did ok today in their own ways IMVHO.
-
In fairness I tried to post this in the first quarter but Internet let me down. Just like the Demon forwards.
-
Two missed set shots - could have been ahead. Has Chocco left?
-
🙄
-
For my hearts sake I hope we bury them a good deal earlier and deeper today.

But we can never forget, BBB was a DEMON PREMIERSHIP FF ❤️💙❤️💙❤️💙

If the only accountability is not umpiring finals then this explains fully the garbage that we (all) endure week after week. So they can be cr@p for 23 rounds and get selected anyway?

Didn’t watch the whole TV of the game - did the commentators say he could have a problem? If not how did Christian even know about it? Daniels “elite disposal” overrated in my experience. Turns over too much.
-
Oliver?
-
Surely you forget who Christian the Unbiased played for? I know, it was not his penalty - this time. But it was for Kozzie

I have only been able to see the AFL Mini version of SS V SK. The two 50s paid seemed very technical - however there were two quite clear breaches earlier when Saints were held after marking that were not paid. That is what 50s were introduced to stop. The game is getting to be an absolute lottery. The two “dangerous tackles” would have been clear HTB until very recently - neither surely should be worth a suspension, but then Chandler got ?3 last year for very little, in play. How good a day is Michael the Unbiased Christian having? Good day; nothing to see Bad day; 3 weeks 🙄 Umpiring interpretations are totally ruining the enjoyment of the game - this even for a game in which I had zero stake in the outcome and of which I have only watched 10 minutes or so.

Thanks in anticipation for yet another insightful podcast beloved by Demon fanatics. Aside from the obvious question re Petty's best role, can you please ask where (and when) he sees Disco fitting into the team? He has had one game in 12 months despite being regularly amongst Casey's better players. 3rd tall or a bigger flanker? Too much the Lever role? Can we retain him if he doesn't get game time? Also how is skinny young Adams progressing? Can he see him getting a game in 2024 or will he need a full two year apprenticeship? I understand that patience is needed for these young tall KPPs in particular. PS a million congratulations showing patience and persistence with Judd McVee who looks an absolute ripper. He seemed to debut with exquisite timing. My first real viewing of him was v Martin in the practice game and he has come along in leaps and bounds since. A real coup in giving him that challenge.
-
Do you really believe that, or is he just not quite reaching Goody's KPIs for what he is being asked to do?
-
Pretty much agree, though I think last week showed the value of a third tall defender, freeing Lever up to play his best role. Yes, "even just" Tomlinson, who in my view played his role very well.
-
Half a season to go but at this stage I teams to agree - Judd has gone very nicely under the radar yet exudes confidence with ball in hand. Clean disposal and great decision maker with spatial awareness. That said, if mid / forward connection improves JVR could snag a few big bags and steal the limelight. Either way JT has unearthed a couple of rippers, again.

Red and blue blankets I hope Doc - sell them to the MCC members.

Born 16/04/2003 - amazing foresight by our recruiting team in signing up a 2 year old.

Trust the Umps !!!??? DD, sorry and I don’t mean to insult, but are you naïve? Never trust an umpire, and especially against Collingwood. But yes I agree with the sentiment - the maggots should be worded up by their coach to stamp down on this scum.
-
I saw young Ox - uncanny resemblance in his movement and his swaggering body language. Very disciplined set shot actin - maybe he could join Mr Williams in a workshop.
-
Tomlinson - facilitated backtall balance

Not only kids either. Some seniors in particular also find this time way too late. Even watching “neutral games” on TV unless it is close or high standard, I may just turn off at half time. Surely even the TV execs who seem to run AFL scheduling will be aware of this? And this is all the worse with the regular “train replaced by busses” we seem to get all the time.

The magic Gleeson 0.3 seconds or so it seems.

WWS - JVR isn’t JW.

Maybe de Gooey thought the WCE guy was just a Sheila in a New York nightclub - fair game?

Who is the subject of these last 4 posts? Is it the skinny first year player Jefferson? 🤦
