PODCAST: Rd 17 vs St. Kilda
1/ Like so many others I am very concerned re Kozzie - he seems to have lost all confidence since his suspension round 1. Appears to (though doubt he has) have lost passion and fire. Is there a nagging injury (more than most players usually carry through the season) or something bugging him? (And as a pedant, those who refer to him as disinterested - I suspect they mean uninterested.) 2/ Can we really carry two rucks when neither seem to click up forward when "resting"? I realise that Max had a stellar 2021 September up forward but that whole period was no doubt adrenaline driven and success lead to success. That magic hasn't been repeated - yet! Seems like JVR could do second ruck work especially up forward, though some will no doubt feel that Schache deserves a spot. Thoughts? PS needless to say I just love the podcast - thanks to you all. PPS - are we still loading, binman? 🤔😁

Taj Woewodin Set to Debut
Loved watching Shane play late 1990s early 2000s and was very sad when he moved to Collingwood. I couldn't get to the game but from TV Taj looked composed and balanced - a very sound debut. If he continues to perform well, any ideas on just where he will fit in (as much as there are any 'positions' in today's game)? HB, wing, HF, mid?. As I recall dad started as a HBF and was moved into the midfield after a year or two.

PREGAME: Rd 18 vs Brisbane
I expect that you have a list of prospects in your negative box, SPC fence - the VFL, as it stands, (principally the endless byes, and far too many teams requiring interstate travel for part timers who also have real jobs) is just not a good place to rigorously develop talent, and ease players back from injury. Bring the VFL back to V - the interstate teams can play their "reserves" in their own local competitions. And get an even number of teams FCS - though I guess we will be expected to get used to the rolling bye in AFL as just another inequity in an already grotesquely compromised schedule (amusingly also AKA a 'draw')

Media Bias - What can we do?
The only thing that will shut them up / embarrass them is for us to win big games and in particular GFs - then, even if they continue to criticise IDGAD.

CASEY: Rd 16 vs Sandringham
Does it really fit that because Petty might be in doubt his potential replacement wouldn’t play at all today? Then if he pulls up ok Tommo would miss a full match play.

Time to put the 'Kozzy Form Slump' bias to bed!
One concern surely is that he will (probably already is) super frustrated and may do "something silly" on the field. Would a week (or two) at Casey give him a chance for some "easy possessions" and help him realise just how good he really is? I am sure his confidence is at a very low ebb. We need him up and firing.

Petracca’s goalkicking
BUMP - firstly, I didn't see the first half. .... but, has he "clicked" and will this give him confidence moving forward forward.

NON-MFC: Rd 17 2023
.. and there would have been a hell of a lot more but for the awful 1950 start time. Surely the Dill can overturn the Gill absurd Friday night start times. 1900, or 1910 at the latest.
