  1. Hopefully that is just for Movember and the razor will be out on Thursday - and for Dunny while they are at it. And for me the name easily trumps Stainless Ferrous Edgeass, or whatever - that #22 Collingwood dude. Chicken Smallhorn would come in at second place - I remember him from Pelaco Inquest, a 1950s Saturday evening review of the six games, the full round, played that afternoon. Not a name to forget.
  2. I guess some here may reject him on the basis of being a private school toff, regarding them all as soft.........like for example Campbell Brown, Dean Chiron.........
  3. Spot on WJ - we the fans have every right to [censored] about the rat, his father and Dimitrou. He has every right to choose his path in life, but he blatantly lied about it on several occasions, and even pledged undying loyalty and love! And as regards the title of this thread - INTEGRITY - AFL - a new classic oxymoron.
  4. So those who [censored] about BP, or CAC for that matter, now have something to compare with.
  5. I just cannot see that Sellar will walk right in when he has struggled, under one of our now assistant coaches, to get a game at Adelaide over several years.........unless Craig knows of some specific Adelaide-related issue that has been fully corrected .
  6. Each and every player, regardless of status, experience, talent or x-factor needs to make that call and that commitment. I have no doubt that Neeld will tolerate anything less, from anyone.
  7. It is interesting that the Craig factor is mentioned so much in the context of Seller's selection -- now I know nothing about him, but he could hardly get a game under Craig at Adelaide yet presumably NC is confident, at least reasonably confident, that he can do so here. Does it say something about Seller, about NC as head coach, or about Adelaide?
  8. FOR THOSE WHO DON'T REALLY CARE ABOUT THE DRAFT - when is it?
  9. He looks exciting, in this competition, but as skinny as a rake; a bit of a Jurrah clone. He would be a huge challenge to the fitness / body building staff, to get the balance between bulk and athleticism. I guess the big question will be who else is there available at the time and what 'role' would they play? Unlike Gulf of Mexico fishermen, I will put my faith in BP.
  10. As I recall he broke his leg in his first season, possibly pre-season - not many "do much" up until then. And he did the other injuries when he eventually made a come back. Really, how does that make "a terrible pick"? Please explain? Rather, "an unknown" - and a bloody unlucky one at that. Still, I am sure had we have been lucky enough to have you as our recruiter you would have predicted all that!
  11. Good article. Top bloke Brad, and a long and loyal servant, but whether it was " the burden of captaincy" that accounted for his very ordinary 2011, or maybe the whole club was poi$need by something / $omeone who is no longer present I for one can't say. It seems a great idea to wait until MN gets a chance to see who performs best in his master plan before making any decisions. Bail and Nicholson were two surprise packets to roll from Brad's lips IMO. On 2011 form alone, nobody stands out as one to lead under pressure Time will tell.
  12. I am so glad that you had the opportunity to see Luke Molan in AFL senior action so as to be able to asses his capabilities or otherwise. Nobody I know had that opportunity. Was this before he broke his leg in his first preseason, or when he re-broke it, or when he did his shoulder in his VFL comeback? It must be very easy, but only of course when one is an expert, to be hyper-critical of someone who due to freak impact injuries never had a chance to show his wares to the rest of us!
  13. It is not an either / or : how about both Other than he who $hall not be mentioned, we have done pretty well under BP anyway. But, one can always do better.
  14. Surely you mean our PryMinister
  15. Looks like $omeone's dad has had their Phil fill !
  16. iineresting as this may he, it really means nought in this the professional era of footy.
  17. Good point Bimbo. These two could well turn out to be absolute "steals" taken where they were. Again, time will tell.
  18. I always love a conspiracy theory (as much as many others here do) -- but this one takes the cake. Have you shown one, just one, shred of evidence to support your proposition? IMVHO, and that of many here, BP has done a particularly good job, and I would expect that he will continue. But, just like those who are sceptical of, and conversely those who are so excited about, the whole "new broom" concept, only time will tell
  19. Great stuff Looking forward to the coming season with all the incredible optimism shared by so many (at all clubs) at this time of every year....... but.......... this time I really feel it deep inside!
  20. A million thanks to all who have provided reports - it is really appreciated. I hope to be able to get to my first session this Friday. Go DEMONS.
  21. Josh and Mono Only time will tell, and I am sure he only has this year to prove it. Unless he really hits his straps 2012,meaning becoming one of the first selected every week, I doubt he will be here 2013. All very well to talk of 'potential' - like Newton for seven long years?????
  22. I guess the 'risk' aspect depends a bit on how the list as a whole respond to the "no nonsense, zero tolerance" mantra of the new administration and coaching group........if the list responds positively their attitude cannot help but pass on to the new players. Of course the coaching / recruiting staff will also have had an opportunity to suss him out -- if they think he is not going to cut the mustard under a regime of hard work and team rules, and of course 'roles', then he won't be considered: if they think he will do the needful then, depending on who else is under consideration and who is available, then maybe.
  23. I guess one could ask - just what is he (don't state the obvious with the porn star mo)?
  24. Yeah - Fev &Lovett 'unfit' for interview; $cully crying about how unprofessional his team-mates are (the ones who he has recently avowed publicly he loves and cherishes, and wishes to play out his career with) whilst secretly planning a deal to move on asap!! LOL
  25. I feel desperately sorry that the kids have had their lives and probably their education disrupted by this crazy Vlad Folly, but hopefully it is the start of a big exodus from this synthetic artifact. I wonder what out them off most? The awful place, the mad coach, or just the shame of being part of this ....this parody? And I guess their new recruiting guru will be wanting a big fat raise as he tries to sell the unsaleable to some poor kids who just want to play AFL at a real club.
