PREGAME: Rd 19 vs Fremantle
He tried as hard as he could. There must be stats hidden somewhere as to which maggots give frees to and against every team. #22, and the other pretty boy #2? always screw us. JVR didn't get a chance to be a forward tonight. Thank goodness that Turner and Frittata turned it on. As you say I am not sure if we can sacrifice JVR as a forward option again. FullArton has a golden opportunity tomorrow to stake a claimer even Verrall, though Scache has surely played his last game (as an unused sub last September). vide supra

POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs Essendon
Just got home after a great fighting win against 24 opponents - umpire 22 and that pretty boy ?2 tried their hardest in the final Q though in fairness pretty boy gave us 2 late frees. Very excited by the younguns special mention of the first years Windsor Kolt AMW who add exhilaration and excitement, and particularly Windsor's royal command performance in goal assists and delivery forward in general. JVR fought manfully in the ruck though. we missed him badly in the deep forward line. Far from convinced re Petty as a ruck though he did OK around the ground as far as I could see. Max is irreplaceable, so kudos to the whole team for a very even effort - no obvious passengers (despite pickett fence's undisguised dislike for Petty).

CASEY: Rd 16 vs Essendon VFL
Yes, we have read it all before. Even the very best of recruiters don't get it right every time. Time to move on. Thanks, and good evening. You have missed nothing, but sadly his dad will, coaching the Tigers so will miss seeing the debut.

2024 List and Contract Details
IIRC Tomlinson looked around last year and there were no (or few but unacceptable) suitors. I would expect that were he told that he would be likely to play AFL 1sts regularly anywhere else he would grab it.

Free to Air TV Losing Money and Shedding Jobs - What does that mean for footy?
One can only hope that BT loses his job - shock update is that he has signed on fro 5 more years. And surely [censored] isn't cut out by the auto censor? Does anyone watch Media Watch? Of course those in the taxpayer funded woke left ABC can say what they like about commercial TV - they are not accountable in any way. There really needs to be a way where one can opt for a blank screen when these awful Sportsbet and similar ads come on. The whole concept is obnoxious.

2024 Injury List
Wait for the โtotally stuffed up by our totally incompetent medical, rehab, fitness, administration, CEOs and Presidents past and present, boot studder etc staff. And of course the door man and cleaners canโt be exemptโ. Or, maybe, it started to come good under expert medical and fitness supervision, he tried it out, didnโt work, more rest then try again, still not right. And maybe surgery for a non ruptured Achilles is only a last resort after conservative measures fail, says the specialist involved. Is his specialist perhaps an occult poster here? The โmismanagementโ path may appeal more to those who are that way inclined.

Jake Melksham returning
"That pass was on his left foot. Up there with one of the best kicks I've seen all year." Corrected. Phenomenal especially for someone who has been out for so long. Vision plus accuracy and trajectory.

That low slinging pass to Kozzie was absolutely special. Who else in the entire AFL could envisage and execute that? .. and his body will only have half a season of battering in 2024, so he will be relatively fresh.

QUAIRADING "Going Home"
What a very special reminder of what a humble past Kozzie came from, and what he and his caring extended family and community have achieved, to whom we owe so much thanks. And great to take Goody, Clarrie and Shane to share the whole experience. PS - at first glance my MFCSS immediately kicked in and I thought that Kozzie was leaving us ๐ฎ

Issac Heeney Tribunal Disgrace
Webster did slip and faceplant into the turf unrelated to any impact. 100% certain were the โassailantโ named Daicos (or Cripps) there would be โbenefit of the doubtโ nothing to see here. Christian used to appear on TV with his deadpan stare justifying either the charge or the exoneration - does he still do this? Every time I saw him I thought he just looked as thick as โฆโฆ

BBB turned out to be a massive asset for one season - helped us to the ๐. Is OA's knee anywhere near as bad as BBB? IF he was interested, then a very thorough medical assessment would be mandatory. At his age we would be looking for way more than the one great year we got from BBB. Rivers is grasping the opportunity that CP5's injury has offered him - if he continues on current form he will become a permanent mid IMO. And Windsor is also well on the way - another preseason and the sky will be the limit. CO13 surely will, with a preseason, be back towards his lofty heights next year. Sure if a Harley Reid fell into our laps we couldn't say NO

Issac Heeney Tribunal Disgrace
I just had a first look at this freeze framing as much as I could. Webster and Heeny were grappling - a one eyed Swan could even think that Henry should have received a holding off the play free - and it also looked like Webster face planted the ground as he slipped and fell. Also, where was the Charlie Cameron "never been suspended" rule here? Was Cameron cleared because of which team his victim played for (severe case of MFCSS here)? Didn't Heeny have as good or better record than Cameron who had been I believe charged and fined on multiple priors? All this just adds to the theory fact that the MRO is absolutely clueless, and seriously compromised (as shown with the fine for chest pushing that unmentionable Collingwood player who then dived far worse than May the previous week).

"Very sore" Max Gawn in doubt for next Saturday vs Essendon
Well we already have two of our top 5 or so out for the season through injury (Angus and CP5), another top 22 versatile tall through ? - that is 3 out for the season, and now Max for an undetermined period. It is an enormous challenge - is not a case of when the going gets tough the tough get going?? Looking forward to what we can pull out if the hat Saturday. Any sort of win would boost confidence for the remainder of the season.

"Very sore" Max Gawn in doubt for next Saturday vs Essendon
There are a lot of different "chip fractures lower fibula". Some effect ankle stability which would involve many weeks out: others are "just sore" and not structural. We don't know details so can't really prognosticate. They were written off 100% when NicNat went down. Maybe they just had a brilliant coach - then.

The 'Mouse Pack'
From the article Love the positivity, which I hope will be infectious. Tom obviously doesnโt read this site ๐โค๏ธ๐ โTimes when I used to wake up and think about how sore I was or if I wasn't playing well, I'd look at the negative side of that. Now I'm kind of thinking, well, how good is it to be able to do this as a job and play footy?โ
