  1. They do that pretty well themselves without our help
  2. Could one of you kindly elaborate for those of us who couldn't watch? Many thanks
  3. I think it is pretty bloody clear just how much they came to depend on GAJ - top 6 bound last year until he went down: downhill from there until now. No depth - even less that ours. Overdependent on one individual - a bit like CarlTank. I think someone else beat me to the punch - A vdB has been a revelation until injured.
  4. It would be most interesting to hear just what rôle Goodwin plays in the game day box right now? Any real insights - please don't speculate.
  5. But an injection program, under cover, unethical, uncontrolled and not properly overseen is OK??? Sweep it under the carpet - it may go away :-)) What a load of utter cr@p.
  6. She may have 2 i s but certainly doesn't appear to have any eyes, or open ones anyway.
  7. I would let Jamar go, with a big thank you, and keep Spencer, Gawn, Fitz and rookie King. That would leave Gawn and Spencer as the preferred rucks, with Fitz as a versatile back up (and a handy tall defender especially as some suggest if Garland goes somewhere else). King to be developed. Frost as back up. Unfortunately Dawes can't / won't ruck. What is Dawes' contractual status? And of course despite some folk's interpretation of what Roos said about Pedersen, I don't see that he will be let go. Can ruck, and a handy back up forward, and can also play tall down back. More versatile than Dawes. Need a reasonable number of talls and versatile ones who can do a decent job in defence of attack so much the better. What is the latest on interchange limitations for next year, and sub or 22 players?? Major reductions could see a return to playing two rucks on the ground, opening opportunities for a Gawn / Spencer combination.

Frankenstein - 1 week for that attack on the head! Tippett - 1 week for that attack on the head! Thought that the head was sacrosanct....not for the "special clubs" it seems. 4 for Frankenstein, with his history of attacks to the head, and 3 for Tippett would seem far more appropriate. Goodes' act was just plain low life -and he has the cheek to ask why he gets booed. And as for then AFL in effect warning Mitchell, and any who may choose to follow him - what bloody blatant hypocrisy. It seems that they regard drug experiments on a whole group of players, without records and without oversight far less significant than a simple harmless sledge. Overall, just another evening of hypocrisy by a truly compromised arm of the AFL. Nothing new really.
  9. How I read it was that, maybe, someone like Roos could have possibly got a lot more out of these guys than did his predecessors.
  10. Fact, or speculation on your part?
  11. No preseason. I thought we got rid of he-who-we-effectively-traded-him-for for that same reason.Shows that some see it as an excuse for failure, others see it as a challenge to overcome.
  12. I presume that is an oblique reference to a downhill skier who can't keep his feet?
  13. James says that Mitchell was naïve and idiotic!!!! FCS - carrying on an unethical human drug experimentation program is ok though? Who is being naïve????? What hypocrisy.
  14. Only a pessimist.....and why would any Demon fan be a pessimist.
  15. Until we win two, then three in a row, vs anyone at all, we will not be serious contenders. But I think the light at the end of the tunnel this time is (probably) not an oncoming train.
  16. And AHPRA seem very quiet re the club doctor, who has violated ethical responsibilities
  17. Unfortunately we need the Darwin games to survive financially, at this stage. As I said some years ago on this subject, it is sort of a case of Darwin or Darwinism. But as long as this goes on I think the club should insist that any Darwin game is played immediately before a bye (for both clubs involved). It is ridiculous and totally unjustifiable for the AFL to schedule otherwise.
  18. IIRC he said something similar re Fitzy though that may relate to his diabetes.
  19. Are you perhaps looking for a far deeper meaning without realizing it - lack of hair to do drug tests on? Brings to mind Ben C's full body shave plan when he was in trouble over recreational drugs. :-)
  20. Some suggest that Mitchell "could be in trouble". On what grounds? The AFL Directors would be on very shaky ground were they to consider using "damaging the reputation / standing / integrity of the game" when they have themselves ground it into the dirt by their duplicity on this whole sorry saga.
  21. I seem to remember some other guy named Lance who denied everything for about a decade, before it all blew up in his face. Maybe denial is an intrinsic trait to the name??
  22. Just saw on AFL website the miserable Turd asking what Mitchell did...then asks whether Mitchell has apologized! If he has apologized then we will let it go! OMG. The bloody cheek of him. Expecting Mitchell to apologize when he wont for what he did??!! Then he goes on to blame the media for their propaganda. OMG - I haven't looked at one of his pressers recently but he just looks totally deluded. Amazing.
  23. #1 @ 5:30 to ho second quarter
  24. Looked to me like the Lions just ran out of puff. (Only saw the last quarter.)
