  1. Have they torched it or more likely there is no revenue in it so they DGAF?
  2. Frankly Lockett, Dunstall, Norm Smith, Coleman or Coventry would struggle if our mids revert to the old long high bomb instead of the low kick forward that we were starting to do with some success earlier in the season. Long and low even if not at a specific target but into space lessens the chances of an intercept and gives crumbs a chance.
  3. Footy department, medical department, Clayton himself or the vagaries of the human body’s response to injury???
  4. He [Turner] was concussed fairly early in his first game He was badly mismatched in his second and did ok in his third. I still have a very open mind regarding his potential and his future.
  5. Magician?? If you are referring to Jefferson surely he needs a lot more VFL time. I will be most interested in AMW - is he a possible HBF? Though that would leave a very inexperienced small medium defence unit.
  6. Pretty tough on AMW who hasn't even had a look at AFL. I will reserve judgement.
  7. You don’t think perhaps the selectors have had some “learnings” having disastrously played Spargo in round 0 without any match play at all - Hunter needs a few games at Casey IMO before being considered. Similarly (almost) is Hore actually ready - if so, sure in for Salem.? And Fullerton needs to show something at Casey and is not an automatic in IMO
  8. Max TMcD Rivers Langdon Chandler Viney
  9. I hope Kozzie has reflected deeply on the effect his absence has had on the team, and avoids any repetition of his indiscretions As above - out Salem, in Kozzie Does Casey have a game this week, or is there another bloody bye? No obvious promotions - would give the Kolt another week. How far off is Bowey?
  10. FFS that bald guy again - Viney pushed in the back - HTB!! What a disgusting excuse for an umpire.
  11. Perhaps you? The whole team is having a wretched night for whatever reason. Are you a supporter?
  12. 7 goals in 9 minutes - never give up 🙄
  13. Of course late in the back - not downfield. Every 50/50 goes for the Braes. NOT the reason we are being thrashed but doesn't help the cause.
  14. And who do you feel should replace him? And should BBB Petty and Fruisch be dropped too?
  15. Yes, they haven't helped and haven't missed anything against the Bears, but we just aren't up to it on the night. 1 tackle, no other stats. Sad really.
  16. To paraphrase Paul Keating - is this the thrashing we had to have???
  17. Not soft at all - just physically knackered tonight. 6 disposals between Fritsch JVR BBB Petty - will never ever win this way,
  18. Fabulous kick Chin But again we are looking a bit of a rabble. I hope we have a lot of learnings from tonight's debacle
  19. Tall key forwards Petty BBB JVR - one solitary disposal to half time. Add Frittata - 2 disposals between them
  20. Well at least, finally, this absolute joke of an AFL "support development competition" will get some games played.
  21. Huge chance Dees to make a huge statement. One change only - Kozzie will be missed but the excitement of a new Kolt may almost cancel that out. Certainly looks as dynamic and as strong as Kozz. Will he make Kozz earn his return for ANZAC Eve? Backline settled and working beautifully as a UNIT / TEAM. Midfield always prepared for good hard go and a forward line working with better structure and some smart delivery to space by the likes of Duke Tracc Spaz ANB with Frittata slipping unnoticed out the back often enough. And Clarrie at 70% is so much better than many others at 100% - just wait, I must add JVR's back up ruck work is very good for one s0 young who is not a "natural ruckman".
  22. Thanks for posting that, Chook. It takes us all back a long time, into the Dark Ages, but Tom has certainly been a stayer. I seriously wonder if anyone, Tom included, thought that he would be such an important instrumental player in 2024 after the disappointments of 22 and 23. A tribute to hard work, guts and determination, and perseverance. Well done Tom. PS early in the clip I saw one of my old favorites, not known for his skills but for his hard work and endeavor, our previous redhead #13 Jordie McKenzie.
  23. Standing still ain’t an option - full kudos to the entire club from recruiters, fitness staff, specialist and line coaches as well as Goody of course for the way our club develops talent these days. We have had some fantastic newbies since 2021 - Bowey, Chandler, JVR, McVee, Howes, Windsor etc (humble apologies for any I have missed) . Just hoping that the naturally slower developing talls Jefferson and Adams and Verral are all allowed time to make their mark. Exciting times for Dees supporters.
