  1. Spelling Nazi reporting in - silverware
  2. The AFL is I believe signed up to WADA code: the AFL tried to wriggle around it in the Essendon saga and were brought to heel. If the AFL, in Gill’s infinite reactive wisdom, decided to abandon WADA there could be massive $$$$ cuts from sponsors and government, and as Gill and the AFL are entirely driven by $$$$ it will not happen.
  3. It would be a long commute twice a week to train at Randwick though ? To paraphrase the current encumber in Spring Street “not worth the paper it is written on. Can cancel without any cost to the taxpayer”!
  4. Maluski The bottom six listed there all have made significant contributions to our ascent into the top 5 position we now hold. Have they all fired together? I thought that they actually did their bit last week v GW$$, and if they can do so again this week it would go a long way towards beating the pu551es.
  5. So one can say pussycat but not [censored] cat? Weird PC censorship Mmmmmm. Sounds like we start from scratch again re listing developing ruckmen maybe.
  6. Not wishing JV any ill by any means, but say he did go out and play 2 or 3 quarters and come off sore, would that not be better for him and the club than doing the same next week in the one that really matters? There is just so much that simulation can and can’t do. And I presume foot soreness is the potential injury that Mad-Melbourne was referring to, since that thug Wojxyzinski isn’t playing and more.
  7. He has already shown far far more desire for the contest and attack on ball and man than Jack the Likeable, talented as he is, has ever shown.
  8. Bloody auto censor again. I presume the censored word was pu551e5. Maybe Hannan and Viney for Tyson and Kent? Chook - one step ahead of yourself I presume that Deemented was referring to VFL.
  9. JKH has run his guts out the last couple of weeks and his pressure acts have been important - not sure that JV will be quite up to that right now. Still could be the switch, but not strictly like for like. That could see him as the best fit as almost like for like for the very unlucky Kent.
  10. PS I meant in my previous reply to raise ..... hasn’t Bernie already announced his retirement?
  11. All of which shows that stats don't always mean much The last couple of games in particular, they played as a well oiled unit in a manner that I cannot really remember (well, since 1964 anyway). It was very hard to pick the better players (after Max, anyway) and the 'bottom six' excluding the two injured early would make about as interesting a discussion as the top six. And both of these debates are refreshingly new ... rather like Bulldogs 2016 and Richmond 2017 .... and ???2018???
  12. A propos Bradtke and his future development - can anyone tell me how long was Mason Cox on Collingwood's list before he clicked?
  13. Maybe he wants to be a part of success, not mediocrity in the case of WB and StK, and additionally doesn’t like camping in the latter case. Maybe Biff spoke with someone who knows someone to get his oh pair, or was that au pare, a job, unpaid of course
  14. Interesting issue: would any half decent ruckman want to play second fiddle most of the time. Also interesting is that Max apparently thought that Flip was the next big thing too.
  15. ONLY 16 to go guys!!
  16. Pretty close to the mark, Wrecker Spot on injuries aside. ⅔ not too bad tick
  17. Hopefully in about 5 weeks ?
  18. Being publicly quiet hasn’t harmed us over recent years. Yeah. Sure. Jesse must just be itching to play in a Ross Lyon forward line ???
  19. Even IF that email is all he does in his off field leadership rĂ´le he has done well And his steadying influence on the field is tight situations is inestimable (though I have no doubt that a few of those here who choose to highlight every negative and see none of the positives will disagree).
  20. It is a big final. Best option on current form would seem to be Frostbite from the outset. Plus of course ensuring that the ball never gets anywhere near Hawkins forward of centre. ADDENDUM: Frostbite came from bloody autocorrect, but may be appropriate nonetheless.
  21. And to think that he was delisted, and but for Roos’ faith in Nev’s potential we could have lost him forever. ? As an aside does anyone have any updates on his mentoring of Dion Johnston? He looked likely to be another lost soul but I gather had at least begun (prior to injury) to be being an unsuccessful small forward perhaps reinvented as a small defender, as was Nev himself.
  22. For a very welcome change, this is an enormously difficult call. For me though I find Clarrie absolutely magical: THE quickest thinker and THE best vision I can recall at any time from any player from any team. Takes the breath away some of the ridiculous stuff he pulls off. But it is unfair to the likes of Max, Nev, Angus, and Jonesy for his perseverance .... and many more.
  23. Are you referring to Darcy Moore? Any guy who can only ruck would become very frustrated living in Max’s long shadow.
