Pruess...VFL is his spot
Did anyone really expect that he would be an overnight fix? Can do a decent job when needed to ruck. Needs more time at Casey, when not needed to fill a role at MFC, especially to learn his forward work. So I see him as both insurance against Max being inured, but also a 'project player' in the forward line not as a KPP but as a tall forward / ruck when a combo is needed.

Round 18 Non MFC Games
I though Tex showed all of his true leadership qualities, as he did in that GF a few years back.

2 wins, 14 losses
T Mac’s dramatic unexplained and unexpected drop in form has been a huge factor in our fall from grace. (I do accept and realize that one man does not make a team but his absence has been enormous). Hopefully, whatever it was, has passed and the presumably unrelated meniscal tear will recover quickly and he can get a full and uninterrupted pre season and a full and productive 2020.

GAMEDAY: Rd 18 vs West Coast Eagles
20 degrees, 28% humidity. It is a myth that Alice is hot, or humid, in winter.

Round 18 Non MFC Games
Adelaide - a choke of Normanic proportions. Maybe Pikers as well as chokers?

Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti
Won’t move on now, and his price would have gone up massively in the past fortnight. A genuine game turner.

Round 18 Non MFC Games
But looks like they got an extra dose of “good stuff”.

Should be orange jump suits ?

Round 18 Non MFC Games
Always happy to see EssUndon undone, but OMG that "protected zone" rule is just a travesty. Yet another triumph from Shocking and Dill.

Round 18 Non MFC Games
I just turned it on - I agree, what rubbish, though I suppose there will be some $$$$ in it for the AFL so that is the most important thing, isn't it? Too bad it looks more confusing to us ordinary spectators hat the Druggies' normal jumper.

We have the worst I50 to goal ratio ever recorded...
Shoot and miss is far more costly under the new kick in rules - an opposition behind now at least for well structured teams a springboard opportunity. I guess there are stats for coast to coast goals - I suspect that these will be higher this year This may account at least in part to the “scared to have a shot” thoughts shared by others

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
And of course we actually knew that VDB's injury wouldn't recover and that the injury prone Kent would get a run of games. I know whom I would prefer if both were fit. It must be nice having a crystal ball, though one wouldn't want to sit down too hard, or play in a scrum.

The old straight arm block - The Gawn rule.
It would be “interesting” to scrutinize the Sportsbet accounts of everyone associated with the running of the game. However I guess there would be far too many aliases and mates accounts to do this thoroughly.

Injury List - Season 2019
Hopefully Tom’s enforced time off will help him recover from whatever else (?foot) has been holding him back all year. We really need his 2018 (and the seven quarters prior to this knee injury) contributions. Has anyone seen KK around the club? Is it the same concussion he received in the early rounds that is still keeping him out TBC? If so, unless he is being managed even more conservatively than Nev and Angus, his future looks extremely bleak.

Footscray v Casey Demons - Round 15
dazzle - Elegt, as far as I can find, has never had a positive word about anyone on our list. MEMO to Elegt - if you can find some positives please show me. So once the warmer weather arrives there will be lots of blowflies? Thanks for that summation Demonland, and to the other posters who help keep us up to date on the VFL side with constructive comments.. How was Bradkte's ruck work? Where did Lefau play?

The old straight arm block - The Gawn rule.
(f) is a very appropriate designation for this rule - can’t the blind maggots see that this rule is broken for nearly every boundary throw in? No doubt they will keep this one up their sleeves for a crucial moment when Sportsbet (or some of their competitors) demand it. And they will be able to make a decision as to who “makes contact” with whom when both make contact. After all if one makes contact the opponent makes contact too - contact demands at least two bodies to meet. A poorly conceived and poorly worded rule - if it is needed at all it would have to specify initiates contact but still it is a total farce. B

Angus Brayshaw to Fremantle Rumours
or play him in his best position, the guts

The old straight arm block - The Gawn rule.
So it is not just OK, but 'magical', for Mr Chopsticks to fend off an opponent but Max defending his territory is not. Thanks AFL.

The old straight arm block - The Gawn rule.
Was that the free against Max in the last quarter too just as we were getting close? (Didn’t see much of the game until last 10 minutes)

The Misson effect
I wonder if he has ever even just said hello to Darcy Moore? Would surely be the only possible explanation for his recurring hamstring injuries. These surely cannot happen without elite help. ?
-
Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti
I am sure we could beat those traits out of him ???

Round 17 Non MFC Games
Maggots keeping Magpies in it. A very rare occurrence over there. The AFL will be thrilled with the closeness of it. I wonder if Stevo had a few (through his mate of course) on a close result.

Round 17 Non MFC Games
Would help but their personnel are pretty awesome.

Round 17 Non MFC Games
Poor Collingwood - one man down most of the game - imagine the pain of it ? Commentators obviously unaware of our situation last week And Moore a recurrent recurrent hamstring - and without being able to blame Misson. Surely were he one of ours many here would be calling for Misson’s head.
