  1. The head honcho and polo ponies, I believe. I agree entirely. Let's hope it is not the dreaded 'rona 🇨🇳🦠shared with the playing group.
  2. Or it may make him want to play there every second week 😮 (MFCSS kicking in early).
  3. It is the millennial way.
  4. “One thing I’m quite proud of is that despite all the talk and the noise I haven’t really let it affect the way I play footy and commit to the team." Unlike Jackson?? ..... "It (position) is certainly something that comes into calculations,” Brayshaw stated. “I’ve heard all sorts of theories about where I play my best footy… I’m really loving playing on the half back flank this year. “It came a bit out of nowhere and I absolutely love being a part of that group.” Doesn't sound t me that he is demanding a midfield role.
  5. If Goody took any “learnings” from the Footscray game it should be low spearing passes into I50, not bombs. Even if not at a leading player, if goal side of a contest it gives our fast crumbers an even chance. Bombing is not working.
  6. For those of us who don’t / can’t open Twitter what was the gist? I would think any sort of win, sure 4-5 goals would be great, will give hope (and expectations) for the rest of the season. Another loss and I would agree with you. Weed also seemed to mysteriously disappear after half time, after a career best first quarter - was he injured?
  7. Great detail in your thinking, Altona. Hopefully Goodwin will "take some learnings" from all this and maybe, just maybe, modify our plans. Thanks heart for bringing this up again. I think it is a combination of your thoughts and Altona's. I guess only time will tell re the fitness (and "loading"), assuming that time actually enables us to be in a competitive position, ie top 2 or 4 come September.
  8. "The rule should be that if a player is subbed off, they can't play the following match week. That would limit it to serious injuries." Of course this wouldn't stop cheating in GFs.
  9. A Bradshaw vs A Bradshaw? Each trying to persuade the other to join him. IF BBB isn't 100% then it is time to pull the JVR emergency ripcord.
  10. Giver the question marks over our walls, both forward and back, if Lever gets back next week then I would use Tomlinson. He could replace one of the big defenders, or release perhaps Petty to go forward if a tall forward was needed. Even play wing. And if a small mid was needed he could release someone like Jordon from the wing to the midfield. Makes zero sense to keep on playing naming Bedford (or Chandler) Or, as others have said, Hunt is the other good option.
  11. Bloody Collingwood getting out of jail again - appropriate as they need to get out to play, and many of the fans too. But 13 wins, 4th place, and a percentage of 106,2 lower than any of the top 10 other than St Kilda. Quite bizarre.
  12. Agree bizarre, considering his very good first quarter and the obvious need for a tall down forward especially in the last half of the last quarter (is that the last eighth?).
  13. He was certainly better on the lead but after Q time we reverted to mainly bombing it long into F 50.
  14. WEED - great first quarter
  15. Tonight is a really difficult one, as it was played so much in two halves and I am sure there will be a wide spread, but here goes. 6. Brayshaw 5. Oliver 4. Sparrow 3. Pickett 2. Hibberd 1. Frittata
  16. Sam looked the goods in the first Q, but I must say I didn't see him on the ground after that. Are TOG per quarter stats available anywhere?
  17. Again, who will you have replace Max or Jackson??? Yes they are out of form, but there is actually nobody on our list to replace them even if we wanted to.
  18. Agree 100% - especially the final 5 minutes. Was Weed on the ground after half quarter time?
  19. Replaced by whom??
  20. Umpires HAVE decided this last minute. AFL stats still saying 20-13 despite several more in the last 2 minutes.
  21. Serious question - was Weed subbed off at quarter time
  22. Kozzie fearsome table again not rewarded.
  23. F*&%. We are being totally overrun. Is Weird on the ground??
  24. Frittata not selfish enough there
  25. Weed been very quiet since 1st Q OMG another missed pass by May -> goal to Dogs.
