  1. Sure, if he was tackled correctly, absolutely no problem with HTB. But he wasn’t and if there is any thought that the ball player must be prioritised rather than the vulture tackler then correct tackle must be the first KPI.
  2. The Sachse incident is exactly why I keep banging on about penalising a player who dives kamikaze like into a pack or another player. It will sadly happen again. The action needs to be vigorously discouraged and a free kick against (and certainly not a free for high contact) paid consistently would minimise this highly dangerous practice. Concussion is bad enough: paraplegia is immediately and permanently life changing, for everyone involved.
  3. Joel seemed to be in it early but had few possessions for his 3 goals. Was he deprived of opportunities or injured or unfit?
  4. Do any of the armchair experts KNOW that he or anyone else actually knew that had anything other than cramp, at the time? Just asking. The game was on the line at the time and he was needed and presumably was thought to be ok by himself and those able to assess him on the spot.
  5. Guys. Excited as always and looking forward to the podcast. I posted this in the Hunter reported thread and would like your opinions. It is a blight that players are allowed, indeed encouraged in a way, to put their heads and necks in jeopardy. Headlong into a pack or into another player should be penalised against the kamikaze player. “Remember Christian has been humiliated by Melbourne, who he already hates, so no way will Hunter not be suspended for an action entirely initiated by Rozee. I have mentioned before numerous times, players charging headlong into packs or other players need to be penalised themselves - if not there will be some poor bugger left paralysed and an “innocent bystander” forever condemned just for being there.” Second question related to our midfield. Few would question that we have at least a couple of elite midfielders, Tracc and Clarry wand others nearby Jack V and up and coming Sparrow. But does a group of elite midfielders make an elite midfield? What indeed is an elite midfield? Surely that would require generating meaningful clearances and or forward entries? Is our midfield, as a group rather tha as individuals, elite? Many thanks. PS. are we top 4 material at this stage? I maybe pessimistically (MFCSS) see us as 5-7
  6. I guess now that the AFL in their infinite wisdom have decreed 4 umpires to be better than 3 (or 2 or 1) then they need 4 x 9 = 36 per weekend. Much harder to drop under performers.
  7. Well, dl4e, that is the one thing that they seem to be doing successfully. Had Christian bothered to have a decent freeze frame / ultraslowmo look at it he would have seen that Hunter had stopped and couldn't get out of Kamikaze Rozee's way.
  8. I stand corrected. Thanks.
  9. DubDee - I am with you 100% on this. Last night there was so much zoom in that viewers had no idea about what was up the field and where anyone was aiming much of the time. Appalling. Is Terry Wallace back on air?
  10. Langdon and BBB both. I very much doubt it. Regardless of one’s opinion on Hunters current form or contributions, “take the week and move on” is not what this is all about. Are you suggesting that someone carving up the competition, maybe known to be about to win a 2022 Downlow, is worth challenging, but someone maybe working their way up like 2022 Chandler, or someone down on form is totally expendable? 🙄😱😮
  11. … but not since. What is the point of comparison? John Coleman was pretty handy before his injury but never got a kick after. Last week had zero to do with Disco’s effort : it was all about being mismatched by the match committee.
  12. Yet what happens, if, sometime in the future a similar thing happens but the interchange steward and not the club got the count wrong?
  13. For unspecified reasons possibly "personal" Harmes isn't plying anywhere this weekend, so that was not an option.
  14. Yet AGL HQ insist that Hobart needs a $300,000,000 stadium. What a pack of hypocrites.
  15. Remember Christian has been humiliated by Melbourne, who he already hates, so no way will Hunter not be suspended for an action entirely initiated by Rozee. I have mentioned before numerous times, players charging headlong into packs or other players need to be penalised themselves - if not there will be some poor bugger left paralysed and an “innocent bystander” forever condemned just for being there.
  16. KC - thanks for all the updates. Joel Smith seems to have come out of the blocks early but what after that? Hopefully not another injury. Looking forward to your usual interesting and informative summary.
  17. IN obviously Sparrow and OUT probably Hunter though I have seen many worse. MFC player will be set as an example. Other INs may depend on who does what in the Casey game. IF BBB has a good game probably in for JVR.
  18. Cheated out for this though hardly deserved the win.
  19. Are they corrupt? Or are the umpires just plain scared of the local crowd?
  20. Great contested TEAM goal finished off by Tom. Great work tracc
  21. Have we had an I50 this Q? JUST SAW 11 / 0
  22. Did our high pressure Q3 burn out the fire and passion?? And friggin high tackle on TMc = HTB??
  23. FCS - HTB against then is now a free to Port. Disgusting bias.
  24. You are kind. Intimidated? Corrupted by the AFL brand?
  25. Umpires instructed to get Port over the line - that was HTB not HTM FCS
