  1. Absolutely agree Binman. Those 2018 mcg finals were the only time the G or anywhere has had consecutive 90,000 crowds. Incalculable experience on many levels for the 2021GF imo.
  2. What kind of "sore".????? Bruising or cork or ......?
  3. Great call. I wondered about this, and May is the injury I fear most for Sunday.
  4. Absolutely zero logic to this post but I'll bite anyway for fun. Why? 2 examples of evidence 1, Cue 1967: Barassi gets the Blues into the finals for the first time: Out in straight sets, . Win the flag the next year. 2. Last year Trac had a broken leg (technically). This year? Leg looks fine to me. Ergo last year vs This year comparisons invalid. (He also had 9 other mates carrying injury) David King currently loves the Dees for the flag annd he would know! Just foir fun - Cats get flogged in the 2021 prelim - win the flag next year, etc., etc. Sheeeesh.
  5. Good call - I was talking specifically about the sydney types. Yes, I have a rabid swans neighbour in Melbourne, family tradition etc, and they are great.
  6. This worries me as I hold great store in the fact that Yze was working in strategy with Clarkson in the great years. Hawks weren't necessarily the best teams but got the job done winning flags. Many contributed but Yze would have benn a key component to Clarko. I was wrapped for this reason when he came to us, (as well as being a Dees hero in playing days), and it helped us in 21 big time. Thus he's not easily replaced. I'll be thrilled for him nevertheless if he succeeds in winning the Tiges job. Who comes in to replace him will require much thought and not just knee jerk to identify known ex-coaches. Goody is a flag coach, he/we don't need star power added just for the sake of it.
  7. Probably a bit strong. Maybe I was annoyed at the tripe on the 'what they are saying ' thread. Interestingly having many trips to Sysdney over recent years, I am always surprised just how little media coverage the Swans get in the papares especially up there. Appropriating from the movies, As Morpheous in The Matrix says - The Swans are an artifical construct. The AFL are the Bots running the Matrix. Give me a Pies fan's sincerity and passion any day.
  8. Sydney fans are nothing more than theatre goers. Start losing and off they drop. Lowest form of life. Will always be second rate event in NRL heartland.
  9. My understanding was that also the Dees had quietly sounded out Balme anyway .
  10. Yep. I never thought I'd see the Dee's topp 4 three years in a row. Means we're in contention. Then there's the Flag. Fantastic times now and coming. Best wishes to Simon , team and staff.
  11. Agree. My count is maybe 15 of this team will be watching from the stands as Riv carves it up in the finals. He had a good grand final in 21. He'll have great final series in 2023
  12. Spot on. It's cheating and remind me never to use Caleb marchbank for a job referee by an applicant applying for a job with me.
  13. Excellent research and insights. But gee BT loves commenting on the style.
  14. Jason Taylor said that was why he was picked up by us.
  15. Not necessarily. As with track goal the Crows umpire made a fundamental mistake against the protocols he's trained for. He said there was a deflection and thus a point. He SHOULD have called the point as he has been trained to do then asked the arc to confirm the deflection. Then he would reverse and call a goal. Why he's been stood down. A Tracs score had no definitive evidence. But should have been called goal except umpire weakly fell for players call and called point first.
  16. He never said burnout. Others did. He said he couldn't get any more from the list. True and has allowed times to have a measured and timely coahing search.
  17. No way does Bailey's hair change shape at anytime, regardless of weather. Probably doesn't even get pillow hair in the morning. and good luck to him I say. BT reckons its to do with product. He loves it.
  18. Jack and Trent aren't going to Adelaide.
  19. And perhaps Kozzie stops flying for the never-to-occur MOTYear, and plays small forward front and centre of a pack that he excels at - when he does it that is.
  20. I wonder if Goody and staff are not already doing this resting mid game . Goody refuted any chance of resting at his prsser. For example, Gus played 69% yesterday. Surely was being managed game-time wise.
  21. The power of head office. No wonder fans go nuts
  22. Fair enough. Thanks. We may know by tonight
  23. Thats the point MT. The media will not bite the hand that feeds it. Whately will roll out again scoreboard integrity, soft calls, umpire in a good position, etc like last week. Outrage at commercial and fans dissappoinment of clubs ? ---- Crickets.
  24. On Ch7 post game Hamish was definitive in that the kick was a goal . As an Adelaide boy he must have been torn about the comment but at least he and Jobe Watson had the guts to absolutelty call out the error that in fact cost the Crows a Finals chance. With the Blues debacle last week and this someone at Head of Football Dept. needs to hand in their resignation.
