Many thanks, your post has improved my confidence , but I never understand betting odds. I understand statistics and probability. So where does the 28.6% come from? That sounds less than ideal?
  2. You've addressed my other concerns. Danger strikes me as a party line type of guy. Just what a Board doesn't need.
  3. Nailed it. This is a Board appointment. Not operations where he could contribute. It's a Gil thought bubble and disrespectful to Tom Harley and many others. The Commission has an apalling record in filling vacancies in a timely manner.
  4. No news and it's nearly midday Tuesday. I am an optimist and wonder if it was clearly season ending that news would be out yesterday.
  5. No he didn't. In fact petty didn't look like a player who's missing finals. Optimistic.
  6. Because......?
  7. Many thanks.
  8. Yep. Starting at 1.59. Will be cancelling subscription today if not rectified shortly.

Should make up the 1% on Lions today if Freo's defence performs reasonably well and prevents a lions blow away score.

You'll see the Dees move to second spot live tomorrow. On % from Lions. Enjoy. Then its ours to lose.
  11. The fine will assist future litigants, as you say Sue, this will happen and the case will be put as an example when mounting an argument against the AFL as to how serious they took the issue. After everything that has happened, the evidence over a number of years concerning past players, the AFLslaps the Power with a wet lettuce. Plaintiff's Legal rep in 2040 :"...They didn't seem too outraged at this issue back in 2023 after all the preceding medical evidence. Why even the Port coach said the boy seemed right to go back on. Did Kenny go to med school..." Presiding Judge: "...I find in favour of the Plaintiff..."
  12. Exactly. The "...medico's a good bloke..." defence. Howwould Cornes have any objective knowledge was what makes a good doctor -except the above statement. A good fireman possibly. The hypocrisy is huge when compared to the outrage on Oliver and medical management. But then this IS AFL.
  13. Spot on, and our big threat to 2nd spot is Port and it will/may come down to %. We are 15% ahead and unlikely to see Port bridge that gap but shouldn't be risked they do. Lets use last 4 weeks to lock away the forward solution for sure. We can do subtle rests this week with Sparrow for Viney for example. But only if Jack needs it.
  14. Another poster mentioned resting Mcvee. Imo he's a lock for defence in finals but needs careful management till then. It's been a big year for him. Hopefully FD are looking out for him in this regard.
  15. Absolutely M38. As someone on here said it'll be 12 degees down there. I trust the coahes AND Clarry to have his touch back for the Blues. And he doesn't need to play lost of minutes. We will have Tom Sparrow back into midfield then as well.
  16. Goodwin said in the presser that least year Max rucked solo mostly all year . Inferring his late season fatigue. This year he's done it for only 3 weeks. I think Max will star at finals time - he's just getting going. I reckon Goody is set on this issue. Jack Viney on the other head should be given a week off at home. He has carried the team with many others but inside the clinches big time with Clarry out. His spirit and fear he puts into the Oppo is mandatory for a flag. He won't like a rest but he would say that anyway. Please look after him Goody.
  17. Yes the outrage is more about where the free was paid - in the goal square- when really that should be irrelevant. If its there , its there. Nate Jones I'm looking at you. Salem was hit high in front of us earlier but didn't receive a free as he shrugged his shoulder into it - play on. Fair call. Objective tiges fans with us were conerned that the fighting spirit still with the team might mean Mini gets the gig under emotion . They want a change and don't see him as senior material.
  18. Albanian heritage. Not sure if born there or here. Probably here.

At the lions game at the gabba last year. Straw poll of lions fans there had Hipwood at No.1 to get rid of. Very little love for him up there. Cornes was on the money querying his 7 year or so deal.

Sorry youre' right - Age is their issue and in hindsight I suspect many will see 2022 as their last hurrah. They sneaked in under the wire. Garry Lyon was effusive last night on just how speedy Freo was compared to cats. IMO the same might be said of the Pies weakness as showed by the Dees on KB and I reckon follwed fairly closely by Carlton on Friday.

Not yet and Kochie must be sitting back thinking how clever he is. On the other hand, Ken may want to leave it all behind also. I hope we now don't get the lazy media pile-on to Ken about shaky ground etc. So unbecoming. The media story should be last years Premiers a good chance to miss finals. Everyone came after us last year. Now its the Cats turn. AT least we made the 8 with a banged up list. Cats have no excuse.

your'e more optimistic than me but correct. I can only dream of 2nd which the team will be in far better shape this year than last. Unbelievable if it comes off.

But do we want to finish 3rd.????????????????? An interstate first week QF, then possibly Pies in the Prelim.if we win week 2 (or possibly if we win Week 1) No thanks.

On AFL360 he said it was to give a little bit of protection to the arm and the scarring caused by a serious post-op infection. Probably helps him mentally as well given the serious nature of the break and the wound suffered. Impressive by him to come back as he has.
  25. I said SOME - as demonstrated by your stat, which is meaningless unless in context. Point taken but Hunter is a preferred last kick into the leading lanes to JVR BBB etc. as demonstared in past games.
