The Run Home
Only against freo sun's etc as in past years. Cats will play Vic teams in Melbourne. Even when stand is finished it will be 40k capacity. Too small for a 70k crowd

What They Are Saying at Punt Road
Mandatory reading each week. Many thanks for the work. But honestly the stream of consiousness from the Tiges site youv'e put up here is moronic by a mile compared to other teams commentary .

POSTGAME: Rd 19 vs Adelaide
Great pickup . At the game I noticed this and May seemed to be adjsuting his shorts, or making it look like he had to tuck in a jumper, etc. On one occaison, the Ump told him to get going he was wasting time or something similiar. The 2 I noticed in the 3rd quarter had him perfectly targetting Max near the centre circle. Fascinating. Good use of May showing versatility, but hopefully Bowey and Salem keep doing the shorter clever kick ins.

The Run Home
Great points Syd, but I am hoping this year being 4th, and having Pies at home in Week 1 gives us the best chance. If we win great, if not then we don't front Pies till GF if we get there, and have a week 2 home final also? Not ideal I admit. BTW - not relevant but the Tiges won the Flag from 4th in 1969. Makes me feel better at least,

PREGAME: Rd 19 vs Adelaide
Fair points but at least on kayo last night's afl360 Joe Montagna summised a way the Pies can be beaten and the Dee's showed this on KB weekend. Others like the Crows also recently even though pies won that game. King nodded away at Joe's warning against pies being a certainty Most media forget this and forget the Dee's should have won by 8 goals that day. Whately is just mainly an afl cheerleader. I guess it s understandable given their power.

The Run Home
I hear you, but my approach is we have a better chance to get to a GF and have a shot, if we meet the Pies early and can't meet them in a prleim. Lesser of two evils I guess.

The Run Home
Maybe, but my hope is we just avoid the Pies in a prelim and a GF spot will be ours at least. Thus I'm hoping we finish 4th to get rid of the Pies one way or another in Week 1.

The Run Home
Finishing 2nd or 3rd guarantees we meet the Pies in a Prelim if Pies finish first.. Not attractive to me.

Its more about the quality of various Journos. Negative or hyper-ventilating stories are easier to identify write and ensure more clicks. Simple. Lots of measured analysis aound, mostly on Kayo/Fox , but again due to their standard of commentary. Good luck getting anything original out of Ch 7 team - except Daisy. Too mnay written scribes scrambling for recogniton. Love him or not, Kane Cornes Friday column in The Age is mostly original and interesting. And he does have more depth of playing experience than others (Damo I'm looking at you) that illustrates many of his points.

The Run Home
I'm hoping for 4th so we meet Collingwood with double chance, but won't need to beat them to get into GF. Better than meetiing them in a prelim. But who knows....

POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs Brisbane
Sure is. A good recent example was (listening to ABC driving home last night) Kelli Underwood bringing it up in the context that she said Steven May was the only player not to run up to Melksham to congratulate him on that final goal. Pathetic Kelli. Just a talking head . Malthouse to his credit batted away the insinuation.

Farewell Brodie Grundy
And an AA skipper too.

PREGAME: Rd 18 vs Brisbane
You make a good point here and this plan also gives me confidennece that the Match cttee are thinking strategically about every game. Goodwin said this at yesterday's presser but I didn't believe him. Horses for courses is not a bad approach. Still think Grundy is key to out future acors next few years. Todays makes it clear Grundy is correctly not considrede a tall forward. So we now have that set in place.
