Gysberts for caddy, even if caddy is highly overrated would be a ridiculous steal in our favor -

Dunn will not be delisted! Dunn is certain to stay on out list and deservedly so -
He runs so hard, I noticed him today, running was unrewarded, he will be an absolute gun

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JACK VINEY
Mad_Melbourne replied to einstein251's topic in Melbourne Demons
I for one am not happy to let him go, but fact of the matter is if we have pick 3 and there are 3 players or more rated better than him we will not take him! He will be a second round pick because gws and GC would be silly to do anything otherwise -
90% of the time a ruckman will be under the instruction to handball so I believe it's lazy midfielders not getting around him, or half backs not providing the run, especially in a stopped play where he has marked it! If he is under pressure of course a kick forward is the only option! I'm not really worried about a ruckmans kicking, more so his athleticism around the ground, marking and tap work and his ability to Shepard and chase, spencer is definitely improving in all of the above characteristics, and will definitely be improving at a rapid rate! Hopefully jamar has two more weeks off so spencer can come up against Jacobs and sandi two of the best in the game
-
No, he is developing well enough in the backline, what's the point of putting him into a position where he will be smashed, possibly injured and have a chance to turn the ball over up the field rather than in our defensive 50
-
Dunn is annoying, he is just a pest, he is the kind of player you don't want to play against, which is one of the reasons I like him in the red and blue! He is the kind of player who actually I really want to keep on our list because despite all his cheapies and niggly actions, he is arguably the most competitive player in our team, he gives 110% and players like that you want to keep around the club. His kicking although it is not elite, his long kicking is actually nearly the best in our team, and although of late I have been to frustrated to watch many Melbourne matches his kick outs seem to be working as he can get it over into the gaps of a press. Despite his deficiencies his athleticism and fitness are very good, he is a big competitive lad and we do not have anywhere near enough of them at our club so I hope we keep him

Hardly true, with hit outs being a category I can never win, frees being so fickle, you could have 4 points ahead of me without even knowing it, it's always a bit of luck, having said that I am quite happy with my team on the track and adding a playing Franklin to it will help but there is no need of a miracle, you definitely have a good line up and barring injury it will definitely be a close matchup! I figured as much! I had never heard of Williams, probably too young to pay much attention to it, but i often wondered what would happen if say this year we delisted Bartram to put him on our rookie list and someone picked him up instead! Also don't leave UFL, keep in it, it's good for a laugh, and really posting in this thread is pretty much the only thing I look for now days with most people on the other threads very negative, unimaginative and really much like most of our performances this year haha! -

Ah shi* I only just saw this! Apologies, I picked him up as soon as I saw him delisted due to my forward line being weak, and kinda being extremely optimistic and hoping he makes a return next week! On another note, I snuck another win this week! Bring on next week and hopefully the return of Franklin! -
Yes - disposal is very good, athleticism is very good, speed is very good, fitness is a question mark! How I see it is gold coast needed players that would have trade value and need to get rid of some of their younger guns, can't keep them all, I don't think we will be able to get him, but would be handy to have!

Stole a win, one free kick! Judd back, Franklin too hopefully! Things are on the up, dappa Dan this week, very strong midfield to come up against :| -
And some people had him in their best 22 in a few years time. Never even looked capable at vfl, hope he does well in the wafl
-
I have often potted blease but sign him up for sure, and hope he learns a defensive side of his game

Contract discussions put on hold for eleven Demons

Bartram is one of particular interest, I guess it's based around how the surgery goes and whether or not we put him on a rookie spot? -
It's div 3 vafa, 7 year old girls would get a kick
-
Lucas Cook would have kicked 300 goals by now at that level, already got enough skinny forwards without rookieing one who wouldn't play AFL ever.
-
Ah fair enough, how's his kicking efficiency as opposed to handball, then his long kicking as opposed to his short kicking, maybe it's just his bad kicks are really bad so it's sticks in my head more, but I do not really think wow he uses the ball well, or that was a good kick when he does dispose of the ball.
-
It's just what I heard, it's a forum so I my statement is just the same as any others, but yeh I heard it on the radio and it's just the word on the street haha!
-
Disposal percentage is a crock of poo, because you can handball it to a team mate under pressure and that's an effective disposal, I don't particularly think that his disposal by foot is not acceptable for an afl player and as he often intercepts the ball he kicks it always, I've seen countless direct turnovers from him result in goals but I've also seen him save goals through spoils and intercept marks. But he needs work on it in my opinion especially if he is going to continue to think he will be able to charge out of the backline with the pill!
-
It was ecstasy tablets, and they gave him his sEcond strike even though none were detected in the system due to his possession of them
-
Pity he may aswell play for the opposition with his disposal! Other than being the worst kick in the team he is a gun

Results went in mu favor, and i scraped into the 8, Now let's hope that Franklin and Stanley and crameri are all able to return this week and mad Melbourne will be in a competitive state for finals, if I get through this week I get Judd back and then I can hopefully give it a shake! Just hope I can sneak one or two forwards back this week and make myself competitive against snomed, who I have not versed this year yet! -

Kerr another injury to add to my list of non playing starters. Crameri, Franklin, Judd, broughton and Kerr 5 spots is impossible to fill. Hopefully Franklin and crameri come back or il drop out of the 8 -

I didn't veto the trade, but I can see why people would veto the trade, but I also think that it would have been a fine trade, people veto trades that they feel are unacceptable and of course the people who were involved in the trade are going to be annoyed due to it being vetoed! It was much like the trade that went down for pendlebury earlier in the year. -
Josh toy, good by foot, and disposal is what we need a major improvement of, and as he has fell out of favor at gold coast he isn't getting much of a run, but what I've seen of him he is a star in the making, one of their 17 year old picks!
