I reckon the Pies have over paid, I have held the believe for some time that champion Ruckman do not win you flags. The Pies and us had the two best Ruckman the last couple of years by a long stretch have either won a flag? No! Richmond has won two flags in three years with competent Ruckman but not Champions. The Hawks won numerous flags with the same types.

That is a big chunk of their salary cap for the next 7 years he had better stay healthy. This reminds me of the Buddy deal, the only way it is justifiable is if the Swans win a flag or more. So far no flags and they slipping down the ladder.

I have them all for years however the one I like and still wear on game days is from 2006. For a while we seem to have scarves where the red looked pink and then the red became almost maroon. I could never understand why we had so much trouble getting the red to look red. 2006 is red and blue strips 145 mm wide and 1.4 m long and thick with the old MFC / demon logo on one end and the year on the other end. The red is red not pink not orange and not maroon. Why do we have to change the red colour all the time? Do the Tigers change the yellow? Do Essendon change their red?

There are a lot of humans who are hardly worth having around LDC.

Today I received emails from three different business' ( eg the local real estate agent ) informing me of them running appeals and I should give generously. Now I acknowledge that these people have their heart in the right place but I have to wonder how and where the funds will be used. It seems like now every business has to have an appeal so as not to be seen as uncaring. Yesterday I read that the $50 million people donated to the actress woman's appeal can only be used for the NSW rural fire mob. I am fairly confident that the majority of donors were unaware of this when they donated. IMO there is going to be a lot of money wasted by perhaps good intentioned people who after all are ameteurs in this field.

Happens to us all dd, normally I would say take a free deep breaths but fairly confident that is not such a good idea today. Enjoy today anyway.

An interesting observation (well to me anyway). This thread has it all from wildly optimistic with little regard for the facts to wildly pessimistic with little regard for the facts and every shade inbetween. The optimists see anyone less so as pessimists and the pessimists see everyone else as deluded. IMO it shows the depth of opinion there is about the MFC and in the end most of us don't have a solid base to form our opinions. The majority it would seem are just quietly hoping 2020 will be a good year.

Umm they are doctors charged with looking after their clubs players health and they have to told to make sure the air is ok to train in! My daughter's GP told her yesterday not to exercise outside. Seems fairly strange to me that a specialist sports doctor would not know.
