  1. It's the silly season folks, media have to try and earn their salaries.
  2. He has a good five months to recover, if it takes longer so be it.
  3. For a long time IMO it has been a centre players award. This year it shows how poor the voting system by the umpires is. The whole thing is devalued. Just a publicity show for the AFL and Media.
  4. Re your last para, if there is any change I will be amazed.
  5. Just don't see a star dhd. Which is what we need.
  6. To be honest I was thinking 11 would be out of the question. I thought their no.2 pick and another next year.

  8. My only interest is what we can get from the Swans in exchange.
  9. A week has now past since the disaster that ended our year in 2023. I can now sort of be sensible in what I write. Those that are predicting our demise down the ladder in 2024 will be IMO sadly disappointed. We arrived at the end of this season with serious injuries to a number of our better players particularly KPF’s. We could still have won both games except for poor kicking for goal and some poor umpiring decisions. We also had serious long term injuries to players during the season e.g. Fritta and Clarrie. so I am buoyant about next season. However I will go to the grave wondering why we did not pick the Bun as the 23rd man and then not play the guy we had picked who is a forward. However we need to get at least another KPF who is ready to go in 2024, Tmac and Brown are at the end. Roo I will give one more season but I am not impressed, yes he is still young etc. but he too often gets we’re the ball ain’t as Jack would say. Doesn’t seem to have the ability to take a pack mark either. A useful player but no star IMO. Of course he might be improved if the ball was delivered better instead of the all too often bomb that helps defenders more than our forwards. Kossie had a poor year IMO and I don’t expect that to continue in 2024. Sadly we have returned to years past where the end of the season with only drafting etc as the only point of interest. Who know how the loss of our assistant coach will affect us.As for the AFL they have slipped to a point I didn’t think was possible. I have no interest in the next two weeks off to QLD for two weeks so I won’t have to endure the media [censored] if the worst should happen. Here is to the 2024 season!
  10. JR you have just won my comment of 2023. Sadly there is no prize just the honour.
  11. Finally something to smile about Wizza.
  12. After last night I am at the I really don’t care point. Part of me says end the pain on Friday. I can then enjoy my holiday in QLD with my daughter and Grandchildren.
  13. I have had a love affair with the AFL since the early 1950’s when my father took me to my first game of local football in the country. That love affair came to a final end last night. It makes a mockery of the AFL’s the head is sacrosanct. I am one game away from never watching AFL at senior level again, Friday night is my last game. Sadly I doubt I will continue my MFC membership in the future and while this is hurts the MFC in a very small way the sound of those Morons chanting while an opposition player lay unconscious on the ground will never leave me. Every time I see or hear mention of that moron club I feel sick in the stomach.
  14. Now here is a radical thought how about we win the first quarter?
  15. I am not laughing BB but I doubt the coach is that enterprising.
  16. The problem is in the games he has played he has contributed very little. Vs picking ah all Aust ruckman who has played some good games and occasionally kicks a couple of goals. Easy choice for me.
  17. When you are as good as him you don't need to.
  18. Well the dance has ended for 2023 I got M13 Row R not far from where i was last week.
