Well certainly more interesting than our season wyl! I have said elsewhere I support the AFL in this dispute. I could easily survive an AFL free 2012. To start with we would not lose a game. Amoes look good to me.

Have they made that offer old55 or is it just his management putting that story around? I have seen nothing from the MFC to suggest that they offered RL a deal of any discription. It may well be just media talk that his team either planted or help the media waffle along.

BB if it is to be MM I think the deal is already done. We either have MM right now and we are waiting for October 3rd or we are looking at other people. With every passing day and no coach announced suggests to me it is MM and we are waiting for the Pies to finish their year. Mick knows what he wants to do, I can see no reason why he would be waiting for the season to finish to make a decision.

billy have I missed something? Why on earth would we wait till March? We will have a coach by mid October at the latest IMO. I am getting more confident with every passing day that it is MM.

I have thought a bit about this pay dispute over the last few months. I support the AFL here stick to the current offer. If it came to a strike and there was no 2012 season ( worst case I know ) I would be fine a year without AFL is not the end of the world. I have a friend involved with Uni Blacks and go to 2 -3 of their games most years. May be sad to say that I actually enjoy those games more than the AFL. I actually feel envolved, you are close to the action, see the players during the breaks Hear the coach address the players and have a couple of drinks after the game. With the AFL I am totally removed from the players and all associated contact. It just feels better and I know they are playing for the sake of the game Not $1million

Seeing as this thread has got onto drafting does anyone have a idea on how many players we need to move on? My understanding is that we must take three players in the draft as a mininium. So we now have one spot available. Who else gets moved on?

Agree, it is my view that he was too far one way. He had to live or die by his decisions and we know what happened. I just get to sit here in the outer and with hind sight say I think he was wrong. It is marvelious being an arm chair expert!
