DC I am fearful of raising the subject but here goes. It appears that the maroon colour of last years scarf has now filtered into the 2012 jumper Both the real one and the clash / away strip. I can forgive CS of many things but what is it with the RED in MFC jumpers CS. I have no memory of the MFC jumper being anything but blood red, the Blue has changed but what is it with the red? The MFC must hold the record for the most changes to a jumper, it seems like we have had a new Red every year for the last 10.

What we have is a new FD with the much the same Cattle. Hopefully this will improve us quite a bit but I will be surprised if we do perform a lot better than in 2011. No more 186 games and a reduction in last quarter beltings would be good. A 9th or 10th finish is what i am expecting.

Harcourt I share your concern but if we are chasing a major Chinese sponsor it is not easy at all. In fact it is probably the hardest to pull of. If we want a major Chinese sponsor then it is a long hard wait. Get them and you are covered in glory miss out and you are a feather duster. I pray we are not the later.

Now having got that off your chest do you feel better? I have complained in the past about those very subjects however a number of them have been changed. I have a better feeling about the way the club is being run than 12 months ago. Remember we only look at the MFC there is plenty of poor result outside of the MFC No one is perfect there will be mistakes in the future. The trick is to make sure we do not repeat them.

NO! You would have got a meaningless reply based on who knows at this point who will be in the draft. Who knows what our position in the draft will be etc. Ask JC but I doubt he knows at this point.

The suggestion is we are trying to get a Chinese company over the line. I have a modest amount of dealings with Chinese companys and no where near this value level. However what I do know is that they will take their time, they do not operate on the same time scale as Barbarians. With the amount of money involved they will not care that the season is only a few weeks away. They will make the decision in their own time. This will be a very delicate situation If it takes 2 months that is the time frame. If you push you will lose. If it is a large amount by a major company we will just have to suck it up and wait. If the MFC pulls it off they will have made a very big score. To my knowledge there are no Chinese sponsors anywhere in the Australian landscape. So Harcourt take a bex and have a good lie down. Believe me the last thing you would do is push for a decision.

WJ I had a holiday house in past days at Yarrawonga. Meet a guy who was on the commitee of the club. After I a number of meetings I plucked up the courage to ask about the "Pidgeons" name. They play in Geelong colours and he had a few years previous made a presentation to the board on changing the name. To the "cats"! Said they fell upon him like a pack of rabid dogs. Told him if the Pidgeons was not good enough for him he should move across the river to the Mulwala Lions ( lower league ) SO yes they are the Pidgeons. Have been fairly successful over the years in the O&M league.
