I'm glad we're playing at Etihad this week
old dee replied to La Dee-vina Comedia's topic in Melbourne Demons
We may have a better chance at Wang a couple of pies might fall over and drown. Then again it would probably be a dee at the bottom of the lake. Wonder what the attendance will be at Eithad on Saturday? -

Crawf52 at the risk of further inflaming your sensitivities I think the majority of the senior group have shown us they are average AFL players. There is not one game breaker amongst them, no one even close to a Buddy or Judd. That person will have to come from the younger group. If one does not appear over the next couple of years then we are destined to continue the path of the past. The current senior list IMO is capable of getting us into postion 7 -8 at the end of the year but that is my best expectation. Too often on Demonland we over rate our players. Results speak for themselves.

BB I find myself in the opposite camp to CS again. I don't like his idea of "red" and I do not like this blazer idea. Looks like something we found in a trunk at the back of the store room. Should have left it there. Portrays the MFC as something stuck in the past,

I think you are wrong rpfc. IMO there is a group that decides on buying a membership based on if they think we will have a good year or not. Early season form is very important, we finished 2011 in the pits, only victories or at least good showings will change a sizeable group's attitude. My reaction on hearing we lost to GCS was "hell we cannot beat them" If a rusted on member like me thinks that what does someone of lesser commitment think?

i think the result does matter A belting will not be good for 2 reasons. -does nothing for the confidence of players going forward and also shows they cannot implement the game plan. - Will have a negative impact on people buying memberships, unfortunately the MFC needs to look to have improved.
-
Correct and I think the seats are narrower as well.
-
Cheapest flight from Auckland!
-
If you win or show some improvement. IMO a belting will do little to help
-
Only one flaw in the above wyl even the struggling ones buy new planes e.g American
-
I was on an Emirates 777 last night, they must have the narrowest asile's of any aircraft I have been on. And I should know I spend hours chasing my Grand daughter up and down.

Oh wonderful!

you are right he does not, he did not have a history of broken bones in his foot either. Just seems to get a lot of long term injuries and the list lengths with every passing year. Whatever the reason he has had a number of long term injuries for his short time in the Game.
-
Yes It can always be worse Like it or not we have to have success without Grimes because he is brittle and unfortunately relieing on Grimes is not a good plan.
-
Sorry but I do not agree with you. Coaching staff have a reason to play down injuries and there are volumes of their recorded lies. The media has a bent to find the truth and show they are providing the audience with the actual situation. past records would be firmly in the "media's" favour.
-
P_man there are no such things. And we are talking about Grimes I find it difficult to be surprised. Now that does not mean I am not dissappointed but hardly surprised.
-
So you believe what coaching staff say about injured players......
-
Don't think Casey are playing this weekend!

No just another Human

Very interesting description dc

Last time I checked Surgery was not an exact science. Sometimes some bodies do not respond in the hoped manner. I would put this down to MFC luck. Something we don't seem to get a lot of.

Yes by about 3 hours dd

I saw nothing of last weekend's games ( I was in NZ ) But from what i have gleamed we are trying to play the Collingwood style game plan. That being the case and as our injuries mount I cannot see us being better at the Collingwood game plan than Collingwood. They have a far better group of players who have had years to get it right. Mate I feel a belting is in the wind. And that will not help membership numbers one little bit.
