MFC will be no fun in 2012 / 3 so I am concentrating on Casey and UNI blacks. The last three weekends have convinced me there is life outside of the MFC.

Jumbo I watched the Casey game today, Jurrah is the only one out of that lot who is up to AFL standard. Sorry but all I see in Blease is a dasher who looks good in the VFL but one trick ponies do not cut it at AFL level. Nicholson gets the ball a bit but his kicking is poor, we already have too many in the senior side that cannot hit the side of a barn. Stop thinking 0 - 11 and start thinking 0-22

Robbie I think that it actually has very little to do with the game plan. Our team is low on quality. We are now 18th We do not have the skill level necessary to cut it as an AFL side. IMO The Team that played last night had six "A" class players Clark, Frawley, Jamar, Grimes, Jones and Perhaps Howe. Then Five Battlers Rivers, Bartram, Magner,Mckenzie and Morton. Not sure what is going on with Trengove! Fitzpatrick is in his second game so I will reserve judgement The rest are either below AFL standard or has beens who are well past it. Whatever way I look at it 11 goers out of 22 is not going to get you very far. In fact it is going to get you 18th. In my humble opinion it is that simple, we have half a team.

Exactly my thoughts Macca. IMO we have at this point no idea if Neeld is or will be a good coach. What we do know is that our list is serious short of players above average. The results speak for the themselves. I believe I am looking at the worst melbourne side since the mid Seventies.

Guys be careful you are not shooting the messenger! While I disagree with a couple of his statements I have asked myself a number of the same questions. The reality is we have no wins and are sitting second last below GCS. We could easily be last after this weekend below two teams that have a collective of less than one season in the competition. Whatever measure you want to apply we are very poor. Face the facts the MFC has rarely performed this poorly in half a century. Why?

The more things change the more they stay the same. In 2012 DC what we have is what we have. I firmly believe this group is poor but we have to play the group we have. On that basis if Bennell has played well at Casey I guess there is no choice. It is not as though he has much competition for a spot. The last miracle in Australia was performed susposedly by Mary Mckillop one hundred years ago. Must be time for another one tonight.
