  1. A bit perplexed at what's going on in trade week. Already Thursday afternoon and we haven't got much action. Lamumba deal not tidied up and diddly squat eveything else. Either something big is going to happen or very little. Edit, I forgot about Garlett.
  2. That will ruin my Christmas.
  3. Every good fisherman knows that the best fishing days are during a fullish moon. And around lunar eclipse on a full moon makes for very auspicious fishing.
  4. I would not underestimate the size of our latent supporter base. An untapped resource that will appear once we have some success. The Rabittoh's had an advantage though that we may not replicate. They had the ham fisted News Corp push to exterminate them. Energised the latent support and those who warm to underdogs.
  5. So far as I am aware he is the only one to back Hird to this extreme. No great loss for them. OK player but no star. Not exactly twisting the clubs arm.
  6. There is the danger that Eddy might try to mussel in on the deal and leave us floundering.
  7. . Are you saying we are being baited and trolled?
  8. I hope we are not the fish John West rejects.
  9. Lumumba getting under Buckley's skin is worth extra brownie points.
  10. Frawley has always been very good playing big gorilla forwards even in his less than optimal seasons. Something he was denied this past season. That is the primary reason Hawthorn got him. Clubs in a premiership window can exploit his true worth. In a more functional defence he will be a far more valuable player now that he has more support. Would not be surprised if his best football is ahead of him.
  11. I heard somewhere Viney and Neeld nearly got into a punch up over this draft debacle. Neeld won on seniority.
  12. Danger is very conspicuous by his silence.
  13. We had our fair share of nutcases during the Scully saga.
  14. Their exchange rate is a 1.666 posts per injection.
  15. Ok, big ammo now to throw at Adelaide. Time to talk turkey.
  16. Looks like there is a big power struggle for hearts and minds going on at the club. Hird VS Essendon. On one hand we hear many fans are sick of Hird(including the ones I know). The players want Bomber to coach next season. That the money men are unhappy with Hird. From the Hird camp we hear the opposite. Hird seems to think he is the winner to take all or he is trying to pull of off a huge blackmail plot to extort a massive payout.
  17. Would have liked for him to have a run late in the season. Could not have been worse than half of our best 22 judging by the efforts in the final 4 or 5 rounds.
  18. More info please. Anyone can post on facebook.
  19. With due respect RPFC, supporters have been burned many times and are rightfully cynical. But they can do no harm unless they walk away from the club. I was like that for a while as our decline under the previous regime was in freefall with no relief in sight. My attitude has changed because there has been radical changes and really we have no alternative but to back the current regime because there is no other alternative anymore. We will live or die with Roos and his associates. Our backs are firmly planted against the wall. There is only one direction that we can entertain or else just give up.
  20. Yeah everyone rreacts differently to the Black Dog. Lamumba had it and also wanted out at Collingwood. His response was to play out the season, play great football and be one of their best players for the season. And now wants to come and play with us.
  21. But it kind of backfired with all the soft tissue injuries. Pushing the boundaries of how far and fast the human body can be artificially optimised for performance. A bit like over fertilising garden tomatoes. They grow fast, tall and lush but makes them structually weak and collapse under their own weight or are blown over and snapped by the wind all too easy.
  22. I really hope your info is on the money. Still has an air of too good to be true that we may be chance for a deal. What a coup that will be.
  23. I thought our season was very promissing up to the Collingwood game. We seemed to drop off after that. All the defensive pressure seemed to have evaporated and bad habits I thought were disappearing from previous seasons returned. Like after we were mathematically out of the finals race we had no more incentive and gave up.That irked me a lot because at the very least I was expecting that we would have had some pride to fight the season out. We finished the season on a significant downer. If we have to rely on only tangible incentives to motivate improvement then that is not a good cultural sign. I hope this is one trait of club culture that is on the agenda to be eradicated for next season.
  24. Does this mean Frawley is coming back?
