True. The argument is made that he takes on the best defender. Yet when the ball hits the ground the opposition have the best defender free and we have one less forward. Watts, Pederson and TMac looks a far more effective combination. Pederson can be counted on contesting everything even if he doesn't win the ball. Next game is the line in the sand for him or else back to Casey.

Has some merit because he can't kick a goal from more than 10 metres out at the moment. But on the other hand if he doesn't clunk the mark his opponent will waltz the ball away with no pressure. As a CHF, he lacks decision making and disposal efficiency. Needs a lot of work in multiple areas.

While there was some good signs, his kicking for goal will kill us in crunch situations. If anything it is getting worse. Despite his personal problems he has one serious big technical monkey to get off his back. He will be useless if he doesn't fix this up.

Jayden Hunt - Goal of the Year?

Jayden Hunt - Goal of the Year?
John Crow Batty replied to Deemented Are Go!'s topic in Melbourne Demons
The football community has been waiting 4 decades to see Blight's goal replicated. Many have tried but failed. There has been some great torpedo kick highlights over the years but Hunt's is as good as Blight's. The elevation he got on the kick was incredible. The camera shot from behinds was astonishing. Never seen a camera highlight quite like it. Blight's kick was more important because he won the game with that kick. Hunt's wins on degree of difficulty because he was on a more severe angle. Distance about the same as with elevation. This kick will be on highlight reels for decades to come, GOTY for sure and we may not see one like it again.- 99 replies

The lack of emotional equilibrium of the CH7 commentators must surely also affect control of their bodily functions. They maybe wear incontinence products?

I guess we have a home ground advantage of sorts since we have played there for the past 7 years.

Our opposition have not fared well the week after Darwin either though most were better sides than us at the time. 2 wins, 4 losses and one bye.

Give Bugg number 14 for ol time sake.

Viney compared to Selwood article.
John Crow Batty replied to John Crow Batty's topic in Melbourne Demons
The thing about Selwood is that he has taken so many hits that his facial tissue has degraded to mush and the skin is about as strong as toilet paper. Any slight knock will cause cuts and bleeding. This was a common problem with epileptics before effective drugs. They had regular fits and fell on their face so often that they cut up and bled profusely. -
.....only Viney doesn't duck and collects cheap frees. http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/debate-is-jack-viney-becoming-the-new-joel-selwood-20170628-gx09sr.html

I hope we 'season define' every week right up until and including the GF. And BTW it ain't Friday the 13th.

Oliver must have hit Snowflake on his hip with his chin.

Heard various media today and the general consensus is that Clarry is a stager with no ifs and buts about it. Apparently a new form of low life. There is also an expectation as well as anticipation that the Swans will punish him for it tomorrow night and that Schofield is basically a saint. Hope he puts a 40 possession game and sticks it right up them and then tells them to fark off if they want an interview.

All Grounds Dimensions - Some surprises
John Crow Batty replied to Its Time for Another's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think its great that all grounds are slightly different. Or else it would be like drop in pitchs in cricket. Will get boring if every ground and game is the same. -
And the umpire too.

We are playing here. There will be more seagulls than Swan fans. I will be cheering him on so loud that my lungs will burst.

Weak kneed chickenshit tribunal.

JKH signs one year extension

If Goodwin thinks he's good enough to persevere with its good enough for me. -
5pm tonight I believe.

This is getting to the stage where the club has to publicly defend Oliver and especially so if Snowflake gets off. The vitriol has got out of control.
-
Or they are happy to let him go for two weeks and hope all the kerfuffle will fire them up. And is also a distraction to Simpson's coaching. Suporters over there are starting to ask questions.

No doubt now the umpire who reported Snowflake Schofield will be asked to provide further evidence. If he didn't report him for an elbow to the chin then for what? He saw it and for sure heard the impact and was very close. Did not waste time telling the dog he was booked. Schofield out for two weeks.
