Thanks wiseguy..

Gary Pert?
I change my mind when he makes the tough calls wiseguy. Like making some tough calls with your buddy ANB and Jones to name a couple and challenging the playing group. Now that’s what I call doing the hard work.

Uncontracted and 0-3 = work butt off.

POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Essendon
I just hope May hasn’t brought GC standards and attitudes with him to the club.

Changes vs Swans R4
Plonk him in the goal square and tell him not to move unless called to chop out for Gawn. No interchange breaks for him.

POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Essendon
Compared to the rest of the competition we appear to have gone backwards at a horrendous rate. Last seasons wobbly sides like GC, Freo, Lions, Saints and even Carlton look like they can now mop the floor with us. Port and Dons already have.

Jordan Lewis
We clearly miss Lewis in organising the defence. Vince was pretty good also. Jones would not be much use. Never seen him organise anything. He just plays his own game.

POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Essendon
Been saying this for a long time. The best leadership Jones can show now is to drop himself. It seems the first question asked at selection is to where can we hide him on the field. Viney is now almost a carbon copy of Trengove in his final seasons with us. Clearly he plays hobbled and currently of limited value. Both huge liabilities across the middle with lack of pace and diminished skills. I question whether we can be any worse without their so called leadership on the field. Only one way to tell. If the old won’t go away then the new won’t come.

Changes vs Swans R4
Time to make the toughest decision and drop Jones. His time is up.

POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Essendon
Can’t win when it’s too hot, too cold and wet. Been like this since the WC debacle. Gee some of our players must have thought they win the flag when they beat the Hawks. We’ve nosed dived like a 737 MAX.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BRAYDON PREUSS
Gawn can easily be worked off the ball rucking around the ground. Hawkins last week shoved him out of a ruck duel in their forwardline and kicked a goal. Also did exactly the same last season against him. Physical brutes can defeat him. Clubs have worked this out.

Pity he cut his flowing dreadlocks. He could have been the new NikNat.

Goodwin rejects notion that Dees list is compromised.
Since we have come off a finals campaign for the first time in over a decade, apologists have to find some new ludicrous excuse to gild bad losses from the well worn ones when we were perennially bad.

Gryan Miers
Sadly your prediction is only half right.

Two Wagners does not make a win.

Most sides are now playing two ruckman except for us. What gives?

Torpedo Punt
Kicking a torpedo is like callow youth trying too hard to score with the opposite sex. Nearly always a big embarrassing fail. Torps work better when a kicker is under no real pressure and does not try to kick the ball over the moon. Let it come natural. Same for drop kicks. In the modern pressure cooker game not a high percentage tactic unfortunately. When I was young I could kick a 60 metre drop kick casually with little effort during practice. During a game the man on the mark would more likely swallow the ball if I tried it.

https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/let-s-stop-the-excuses-goodwin-rejects-talk-dees-list-compromised-20190404-p51arl.html "As a coach and a club there are no more excuses for us as a club," Goodwin said before Friday night's crunch match against Essendon. "Start judging us on our performances and not on our pre-season. We’re ready to go. We’re fit, we’ve got a good 22 that’s going to go out there and play, so let’s judge us on our performances and let’s stop the excuses." The old “no excuses” excuse. Well the season is already two rounds gone and we weren’t ready to go.

Changes v Essendon
Jones is starting to look like the elephant in the room. Problem is we have to demolish half the room to move him out.

Essendon playing like [censored]. What could go wrong?

POSTGAME: Rd 02 vs Geelong
Yes Hogan was impressive but like so may times when he was absent for us the team played far better. Freo were mightily impressive in round 1 sans Hogan. Arguably their best performance in many seasons. But they were the same old stodgy self in round 2 with Hogan. One of life’s great mysteries.

POSTGAME: Rd 02 vs Geelong
I have been noticing a pattern to some of our recent diabolical losses. Not all but some conform to a pattern where we start very fast and dominant. We then appear to a hint of lairarising and fall to pieces. Happened last season against Hawks and Saints and late previous season against GWS. This season against Tigers in JLT and also Port.
