I posted my awe of these two teams after watching their recent game WJ. I was particulary impressed by both teams ability to dispose of the ball under pressure. Sadly, however, we look more like playing that type of footy in 2026.

I was sorry to see Col go as I thought he could have a great year as a forward with Clark, Hogan and Dawes kicking arse. He left and I figured he would do equally as well in the west. His decline has been both amazing and sad. We have all seen him play some terrific footy but it appears all over for him now. What goes on between the ears (or not) seems to far outweigh bicep size or anything else. A great talent wasted IMO!!

FMD. Roos has just signed on for his third year. I know speculating and guessing is what makes Demonland such a reliable sauce but .............. naming, or speculating about Roo's successor now is even pushing the Dland limits of credibility.

For once you are correct Loonshadow. We have Cross, who is fantastic. When he goes we may need another senior mentor/hard head. But.. we don't need to overload with this type of player.

Another successful workout completed. After a solid minute or so on the treadmill my PT gave me a new exercise today. Barbell curling is, I believe, what she called it. Good for the "guns" evidently. My guns are off course, quite huge but perhaps a tad flaccid. She said I demonstrated good "form" with this exercise. ("Form" is important in gym parlance). She went on to say that in a few weeks she would start putting some weights on the bar! Made me quite swell with pride. Anyway, I was so encouraged that I scoffed two quiches rather than unhealthy pies on the way home.

If this is taking the pi ss - I love it. If serious - FMD!!

Agreed. Weak as [censored]. My understanding is that he wanted to retire at the end of last year but was asked to play on. His injury was unfortunate. Good luck to him he made the most of his opportunities.
