  1. you're actually the worlds biggest pessimist JCB. you finished top of the ladder and expecting to lose to the guy who came 7th! You're the annoying AFL coach who always claims to be the underdog!!
  2. In terms of trade value, Ricky Petterd would be equal or inferior to the value of C.Morton. I think I know who I'd be happy to part with..
  3. Why can't I vote Juiceeeeeeee?
  4. Apparently he is behind Fremantle ruckman Zac Clarke haha. Do not rule out him being traded. Eat my effing coq Roar
  5. We got flogged by 186 points in Geelong and he was grinning the whole time through his press conference. He cannot public speech thus putting pressure on other players to do Melbourne's press coverage also. The man is a great footballer but a poor captain.
  6. The Big 4. It's an honour lads.
  7. Christ, get off his back. There are 100 players who sook in the AFL about poor delivery and being benched noticably Riewoldt x2, Goodes and Buddy. Just because the guy has had a rocky past doesn't mean you should be singling him out for cracking sads. If Casey is a worse standard than Melbournes kicking id be having my tantrum at the 3 min mark of the first.
  8. Was so soft that Farmer one! Surprised commentators didn't notice it or mention. Only the deliberate saved him in the end
  9. I feel like I'm reading the Herald Sun. Is this your insight Robbo
  10. I'd love him in a 2 prong set-up. He now has a small chip on his shoulder. A lot of the media have written off Rodney Eade but he is confident in his own talents. That is something you definitely WANT. Tough and hard-nosed. Sacked Aker, and often seen losing his cool. I like passion at my club. For me again it's a WANT. No doubt about his preparation and motivation skills. Supposedly also excellent with skill development. WANT. Western Bulldogs consistently performed far beyond what was expected. They never had a Premiership or even Grand Final list. Yet, Eade still got them performing to that level. That's what a good coach does. WANT. There are question marks over his ability to adapt to this press and to the modern game. Let's put Eade as coach and Dean Laidley as the director of coaching. He looks at these concepts. I know the FD know more than me, but in my head that there is looking like a good set-up. Welcome to the MFC Rodney Eade.
  11. Whilst I think I'll struggle to beat Robbo this week, I've appreciate the sentiments. JCB is the king. Talks everyone else up. Firmest favourite since Collingwood in 2011
  12. I partially agree with both sides. However, my opinion is that with the foundation dinner 2 weeks ago raising nearly $800,000 it makes you think. Someone would have donated some serious coin in the 5 to 6 figure region and how grateful we are they did. But if it was me who donated $100,000 and then two weeks later got a later saying please re-donate you'd start saying where is the line. You either do a foundation dinner or you do 100%. We're not a junior footy club or a charity drive.
  13. Interesting comment. The china trip was actually payed by the players. Accomodation and flights... I think the club are milking every dollars value. But i do agree enough is enough asking for donations.
  14. Yeah couldn't believe how much you got di**ed by Jacobs. Thought the matched summed up how close we were all year just lucky for me this week decided to fall my way! Thanks again though and completely agree next year will be even better!
  15. Sucks HT, really thought you had my measure come Saturday night but few things went my way. Got my eyes on you JCB. Better be quivering
  16. He's gone when Strauss and/or Nicholson is back and firing.
  17. Christ Barry Dawson don't make you Patch Adams you're a bigger buzz kill than Buzz Killington. The overreacting is a farce. Rewatching the game tonight the non handball was an error but I believe he thought of giving it off felt pressure and rushed the snap. Lynden Dunn can't exactly get angry at that, he and his captain pull that selfish crap weekly. We let Sylvia go we may be in turmoil. He may be slack sometimes but when your teammates continue to let you down I'm not surprised all our players don't laze. This is the culture that must be removed and when the current leadership group are moved on it will be. Seriously though, some really need to step back and look at the MFC before declaring us dead.
  18. http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/7415/newsid/120703/default.aspx Article here.. Nicholson, Evans and Max Gawn all sign up. Woo!
  19. Tapscott signed until 2014 Trengove till 2015. More to come soon..
  20. I'd take the blows if they were from my girlfriend
  21. The way this club is going, delisting players who actually are willing to hurt themselves for this club would be probably the stupidest thing the MFC could do. They are a business and if they don't want him they will not re-offer regardless of injury or not. Personally though, I think they would be fools. He was ripping Jeff Gartlett a new one in the first.
  22. 'Only' had one rod inserted and was the cleanest break you can hope for. Also alot higher up than leg than Barlow's which is an advantage. Few positives out of a terrible situation. Will come back in late 2012/2013 and do great things for MFC.
  23. The example I will use is from the NFL which some of you may not be comparable with however there is a team called the Dallas Mavericks which are the Collingwood of the league. Their owner is Jerry Jones who is the Eddie McGuire and they have 3 times the amount of money any team does with the biggest stadium and best facilities. They do the most in free-agency but last year they finished 6-10 and way out of the playoffs. These advantages are only bought up when a team is on the top. Melbourne don't need to go to Arizona or any crap like that we need the best coach, skillful players and those who WANTto win a premiership. With this combination we'll win a premiership and the club can use the 500,000 to throw us supporters the biggest party ever held.
  24. I know there are some issues with the two people but let me explain how this could work. We want a coach who will live MFC. Bleed like Malthouse bleeds for Collingwood. Deep down we are all jealous of the way he stands by his team and loves them. Welcome Mark Williams. The bloke took an average list to many a final amid a heap of adversity broke through and beat a dynasty team to win their first grand final. The guy lives football and up until everything game day is the ultimate coach. His development and leadership is paramount to the success of a club. Welcome Dean Laidley. Doubtful a more tactical coach has been around recently. Left the kangaroos amid claims although game day he was brilliant, struggled developing throughout the year. With Mark Williams bringing grunt strength and passion to the great club and allowing Dean Laidley to take over the game day role of tactics could be a lethal combo.
  25. Quite simply you put an ultimatum on people and pressure them into things it will push them away. Whilst I agree something needs to be done to ensure the signing of Scully and others, an ultimatum would be a good decision by the club.
