I am not for Tom leaving, however I am glad he did not pay overs for him. A player like Tom is arguably unreplaceable but it also had the ability to completely ruin everything we'd planned for. I will miss Tom, and god darn it I hope he never lives up to his potential at GWS, but with the money it was suggested we offered him, my personal and only my view is I'm glad he took it.

Such a classic place the 'Dale. Watch out for team SHB. We dominate

He's been active in the weights room for a few weeks now. Walking without a problem on the leg and commencing running before the pre-season officially begins. Some surgery on an unrelated matter to football set things back but will be better than ever next year. Will be a great HBF for the Melbourne Football Club

I loved him. He was very aggressive and bland with the media. If he didn't like a question he threw it back with disdain. The one thing I love about Mick Malthouse was his ability (some would say lack of ability) with the media. He would stand up for his troops regardless of the scenario and if the question is asked he doesn't want he tells them where to go. From what I got from meeting number 1 from Mark Neeld was extremely positive. I'm falling in love

Touché and I am also completely of this opinion. His comment saying he'd take to the grave his lost opportunity with such a good young group of boys really reminded me what a great guy Deam was. I really wish he was the guy to lead us to a premiership!

I don't find anything more refreshing on this forum than when instead of insight people crack jokes. Eade, Malthouse, Laidley or Williams are all viable candidates. In future reference keep your jokes for around the workplace.

Prefer Bailey to Neeld. Give me experience or we fired the wrong bloke.

I would love a beer mat and stubbie holder If I get in, in time... Let me know through here or PM.. -
This is the worst draft in 15 years past pick 10-12. No club will be keen on trading picks for players.

This could have already been posted but its oh so funny. Enjoy and let it relieve the stress!

He'll pay for his decision. It might not be Round 1 next year when the AFL put us together as a showcase game; it might not be in 3 years. Tom Scully is losing out because in 10 years he'll miss something beautiful. Melbourne Football Club have had one their darkest years in decades and come out stronger. He have a strong board, our most noticible figure is finally involved in the club and a man who sacrifices his life to lead the club. The money will be brilliant Tom, but when you sit your kids on your knee in 30 years you left the club with the best history for the club with the worst and nothing has now motivated more to buy 3 memberships and pump money into this club because I want success. No longer do I want success just for me and you. I want success to shove it up the ones who didn't stand by us. Gary Ablett copped so much flack for the first 10 weeks of this year, only beating the media by continual 30-40 possession games and leading by example. Have fun Tom.. You'll need it.

Thanks Eth and yes good job 45. Either of you would have been more than deserving. Dappa, It was probably one of the worst games by either of us for so long its not funny. 2 of my guns played shocking, whilst so many of your players didn't fire. Lucky Kade Simpson had a pearler to keep it close. Disappointing as I would have enjoyed a shootout but to finish in such close style is fitting for the game. Well played and the way you play, I expect to see you up the top next year as well. Finally, thankyou so much specifically to JA who set all of this up and convinced so many of us to give it a go, I love Dream Team and Super Coach but this year of UF with this forum has been so enjoyable. And furthermore, to everyone else who played, thanks also. The 16 that played this year made it the great competition and fun it was. Whilst at times words were said it was in great spirit and I'm hoping all of you come back for next year. Happy to have the off season as premier though DL7

Theres a c word I want to use however I like this website and I can't be bothered getting blocked. But that particular word sums up our game plan/ selection/ heart and captain's goal kicking.

doesn't that shot just sum up the year..

Have It on very good authority he is not leaving and the soreness is in fact a really bad quad. From the source I heard it actually seems to some it may be the dreaded ostetiatis...
-
Not sure if you guys already have a thread on this but just came across it. Bloody good stuff.

Bad luck JCB, well fought out game. Thought you may have actually snuck back and beaten me when Stanton had a good one but sadly just a touch short. Disappointing because I think throughout the year you were the most consistent. Funny how UF plays, in Round 8 i was last on the ladder with one victory... Shows how quickly it can turn. Good luck next week Dappa. I hope you're nervous though.. I'm coming for you!!

Gaff is not unhappy with West Coast. Worry about picking someone else up
-
With all due respect Rusty, you would be incredibly naive to think that when the topic is bought up, Gary to say anything different. Clubs never show their hands when it comes to picking up players as most VFL type pick ups are a game of chess between all the clubs watching who makes moves with who. Gary would be nothing short of an idiot if he started mouthing to supporters that he wasn't comfortable with our forward line coach. One thing you learn with footy is that the word of anyone involved in the game means just about zero..
