AFLW: QF vs North Melbourne
Where has the composure gone? North far cleaner and more aggressive. We will have to lift massively next half, but hard to see us getting it back at the moment.

Welcome Back to Demonland Marty Hore
Iād imagine theyād look at him predominantly as a Casey player - a bit like Dunstan was. I actually like the strategy of putting 2 or 3 quality senior guys with good habits at Casey, to bring through our new recruits. It means that the young guns get a good role model on their line, to learn from, whilst keeping Casey strong.

Max Promises Tough Love this Preseason
Well, not really. I put my money where my mouth is, by purchasing family memberships for both men's and women's programs. Of course, I'm happy to do so, but will also call out when the same old rhetoric gets trotted out.

Yep - heard it all before. Talk is cheap.

Trading pick 6
This doesnāt work for us, if we want to pick up Reid, though?

Trading pick 6
Yes - our recruiting/trading strategy is getting the best picks players in the current draft and letting the next year wait until next year. Obviously, the exception is when a player (ie Jackson) is traded out and we have to negotiate future picks, but generally we very much look at the present.

What's needed in 2024
From what I have observed over the past two seasons, our team seems to be playing under a heavy burden: thereās not a lot of ālightnessā around the place. I wonder if the culture agenda has been over-thought at the expense of players simply enjoying footy under a good system, as in 2021. I donāt hold out great hope for 2024 - I think the Clarry situation will not easily be resolved, in terms of him being back to his previous best. I know weāre not supposed to mention the war, but I think whatās needed for 2024 is a united team, playing with a bit of freedom.

Farewell Oscar McDonald
I honestly tear up each time I watch that. That was maybe the best goal Iāve witnessed in terms of the absolute limbs when he put it through. It was symbolic on so many levels: his Queenās Birthday retribution (was it his last one?) and he cast off the massive weight on his shoulders - you could tell by the look on his face: part sheer exhaustion and part walking on air.

Harrison Petty
Anyone who works in the care and teaching areas can make a huge positive difference to a childās life. If you can inspire change and positivity in just one person, you have done your job.

Harrison Petty
Yes - thatās what I understood as well. Less homesickness, but more wanting to see his family more regularly. If they are from country SA, 5 hrs out of Adelaide, then it would be difficult to get to games. Iām sure the club will now organise for his family to come over more, which is great for everyone.

Sounds like the sort of thing someone says, that gets quoted back to them after Jake and Harry carve up every defence in the comp. Providing they can stay fit, I think they could be a fantastic combination: both young, aggressive players who like a tackle, can mark and kick well.

Harrison Petty
Why not? If he smashes it next year and signs, say, a two year extension to his current contract, his draft worth will be through the roof. I see what Cornes is saying, but his argument is flawed - especially when he suggests going after Gunston, as a replacement. Makes no sense - Petty is an emerging talent, Gunston is in the last year or two of his career and dropped himself last season due to poor form.

That's now next year, apparently š

Trade Rumours 2023
Incredible insight from Tom: Petty hasnāt put a trade request in, although he did once go to school in Adelaide and his sister lives there. Although, he hasnāt put a trade request in, the Crows will still be interested, just in case the Demons do a complete 180 on a player they are basing their forward line around, next year. Amazing, Tom.

Goes to show that there is no accountability in AFL ājournalismā - absolute hackery and bulldust, where the instigators are never called out on their made up stories.
