Harley Bennell Injury
And MFCSS is what it is. The guy has been through calf surgery in an effort to correct his issues and I imagine that the occasional minor calf strain would not be surprising over the recovery period. Iâm obviously nowhere near being an expert in such matters, but I would think that such strains could be bought on by something as simple as a slight change in his gait due to compensating for the discomfort following surgery etc. Perhaps someone with knowledge in this field could provide an opinion? Weber? Anyway, I think the upshot is that we persevere with him (he wasnât expected to be anywhere near ready until at least mid season anyway), and give him every opportunity to prove himself. What exactly do we have to lose by doing that?

Thanks Luther... hopefully this will be the start of a good portfolio now that schoolâs behind him. Comments like yours and others here are certainly doing wonders for his confidence.

TRAINING PHOTOS: Wednesday 22nd January 2020
Unfortunately I donât have anywhere else I can upload them to and canât really afford a subscription to Smugmug; particularly as we return to Sydney next week and would have no further use for such an account. Sorry about that. If youâre going to be at the training on Monday, maybe I could drag along the iPad and let you flick through them there?

TRAINING: Wednesday 22nd January 2020
This is a shot of Bedford putting every ounce of his strength into a kick that sent the ball full force into Brayshawâs nuts! The ball rebounded straight back into Bedfordâs face and then his hands and he played on... Brayshaw writhed around in agony on the ground for a couple of minutes (what must have seemed like a lifetime to him), before being assisted to the sidelines where he quickly recovered and rejoined the session.

I spoke to Tomlinson after todayâs training as we were waiting to cross Punt Rd (he was on his way to grab a coffee), and he told me heâs back training with the main group at this Fridayâs closed session at Casey.

TRAINING: Wednesday 22nd January 2020
My son Liam took a bunch of shots today and as there are too many to post in here, this is a link to my Facebook where I created an album for his work; Iâm proud of his work, and not just as a father of a kid who dreams becoming a sports photographer... https://m.facebook.com/tim.fleming.75/albums/2821236737911591/?ref=bookmarks

Best intentions and all that... issues getting them off his antique iPad, so you may have to wait until tomorrow.

TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2020
I was pretty impressed generally speaking. I had to keep asking my son who was who, when it came to newer players (Iâm hopeless), but the skills were looking for the most part, sharp... having said that, there are still a few wayward kicks under no pressure, but thatâs to be expected. I was particularly impressed with Fritschâs and VDBâs kicking. It looks like weâre getting some genuine pace in guys like Pickett and Bedford and it seems to have spurred Jetta on... he seems to have grown an extra leg. Weâre going again on Wednesday, so this time Iâll try to pay more attention; instead of talking too much at my son and with Saty.

TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2020
As he was arriving and heading around to rehab, I said hi and asked how heâs coming along... his reply was a smile and âfineâ. Also saw him (from a distance, but positive it was him) doing dribble kicks for goal from the AAMI Centre pocket, later on.

Aus Bush Fires
You might want to read this article. Particularly the bit that cites the Victorian police categorically stating that none of the fires affecting the state, were deliberately lit by arsonists. https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2020/jan/08/australia-where-lies-and-conspiracy-theories-spread-like-bushfire?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other

Aus Bush Fires
If youâre referring to the SMH article quote I posted, then...no. Those are factual figures, but they are arsonists who were caught lighting fires, and as far as Iâm aware, none of those fires took hold. Only one fire, again, to the best of my knowledge, was caused indirectly by humans, and that was a large fire in SA that was started by sparking electrical wires.

Aus Bush Fires
Yes, I know about them... but even if it was arsonists, who are responsible for lighting such fires every year, the fires should never have taken off the way that they have; that is purely down to conditions that have become increasingly volatile over the years courtesy of, gasp, climate change. I liken the deniers to fundamentalist christians who deny the science in favour of their own belief systems. The fact that these fires are unprecedented and the fact that by the end of November, the fires had burnt out more bush land than the previous three bushfire seasons combined, tells me that this is more than just fires being a normal part of the cycle. The deniers are so short on arguments, that they try to blame the Greens and protestors for the fact that the conditions are so bad... something that has been refuted by even the fire fighting agencies.

Aus Bush Fires
This from the Sydney Morning Herald: âThis fire season, police have taken legal action - ranging from cautions to charges - against 180 people including 24 people charged over deliberately lit bushfires, 53 who allegedly failed to comply with a total fire ban and 47 who allegedly discarded a lit cigarette or match.â https://www.smh.com.au/national/teenager-among-180-people-facing-legal-action-over-lighting-fires-20200107-p53pla.html

Just as you climate change deniers will conveniently take everything that Murdoch chooses to publish, as gospel. And I'm referring to the Murdoch press who relegated the fires to page 4 in favour of a picnic races day last week (oh, and you have to love this bit: "The Shoalhaven fires were lit between July and September last year, with Kempsey recording 27 deliberately lit fires, NSW Bureau of Crime and Statistics and Research data shows." - nothing to do with the current fires). Approximately half of the fires each year are caused by a combination of human activity and lightning strikes (the latter being attributed the the largest of the current fires). The other issue is prevailing weather conditions and fires spreading through cinder attacks. A report from a source that stands to gain nothing through bias: https://globalnews.ca/news/6366259/what-causes-australia-wildfires/
