  1. Oh no... time to move him on then :-D I think that Martin should probably be CHB and Watts CHF and either Tapscott or Blease could help to complete the midfield equation (probably Tapscott as Blease's run out of defence will be a great asset). Oh, and before the season starts, we had better clarify that it's Clark without the "e" - Clarke with the "e" plays in the same side as Trengrove.and Maloney :-)
  2. If the story re Caddy wanting to relocate back to Melbourne so he could be close to his ill father is true, then you have to wonder just how much effort he is going to be willing to put into his on-field performance next year.
  3. Watching for Caddy related news in #tradeweek on Twitter is like watching the closing minutes of an Ebay auction... come to think of it, maybe next year the AFL could set up an Ebay store where these trades can be conducted.
  4. Any chance bate is tied up somehow in our efforts to secure Caddy?
  5. Hopefully this will be a similar scenario (but cheaper) to that of the Clark signing - the MFC will keep their cards very close to their chest and make a move when it is likely to be most effective; I doubt very much that they are sitting on their hands.
  6. As you will see in my PM'd response, perhaps you should be taking your own advice.
  7. No big deal :-) But as I said, it's nice to see Jimmy involved... he is able to move mountains; or, as in this case, "man mountains"!
  8. No, if you read the article I linked, it states that it was from The West Australian.
  9. You don't need to name names... is the "good authority" from within one of the clubs or caddy's management company... if not, then it is hardly any authority at all. If I had a dollar for every post that stated the info was "on good authority", I would have as many dollars as there are posts that say the info is "on good authority".
  10. From AFL site actually (bottom of article)... http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/125170/default.aspx
  11. Nice to see that it was a "personal approach" from Jimmy Stynes that was a major influence on Clark's change of heart.
  12. looking at the tweeting from Essendon supporters going through #tradeweek, they seem pretty much resigned to the fact he won't be going to Windy Hill; hopefully that just means we need to offer up a reasonable bundle and not have to get involved in a bidding war.
  13. Not kidding at all actually. At his best he is a very good player. I recall him running rings around a few of our players when he was at the Dogs. As much as i like what Black can do, I would certainly prefer Ray over a player who would effectively be just biding his time before retirement.
  14. I would rather we went for someone like Farren Ray... would be cheaper and has a heap of ability.
  15. Best tweet I have seen through this entire trade week: "In an administrative mix up today Richmond recruited Ivan Milat"
  16. I'm just watching the #tradeweek tweets
  17. Currently being tweeted that a deal with Freo is about to be anounced
  18. Depends how much Freo want Clark... I would be offering them pick 12 in a straight swap for Morabito
  19. Possibly, but unless, as someone tweeted "maybe ross lyon could offer half his pay packet to clark as well. Sure he wouldnt miss it", I don't think Freo will go much harder.
  20. yep... and I'm guessing that this means there is a good chance Clark has reconsidered and indicated he will go to the Dees... I doubt very much Brisbane would be putting themselves in a position where he could walk for free.
  21. And my comment relates to the fact that just because you don't see anything going on, it doesn't mean that the machinations are not taking place behind closed doors. Believe it or not, multi-tasking is possible.
  22. Can't say I've seen that written up anywhere; have just seen people saying his wife/partner and child are in Perth - but again, not seen anything written up officially about that either... however, it is NOT a certainty he will go West; the MFC offer could set him up for a much better shot at life in general for him and his family. And by the way, where has it been stated that the MFC are no longer considering Lisle? Love your defeatist (yes defeatist, not realist) attitude!
  23. Spoken like a true MFC supporter - at the very least, I hope Neeld can at least get this defeatist attitude out of the playing group.
  24. I wouldn't be averse to us taking Morabito (fat chance of that ever happening) :-)
