I agree that any player who ran out on the ground for the club during the season, should be rewarded with a medal; they all contributed to getting us to the big dance (not just the 22 fortunate enough to take the field that day). There’s probably even an argument for ALL players on the list getting a medal, as it’s a team game, and they are all part of the team and they all contributed in one way or another.

Well, I believe the medical sub gets one as well, regardless of whether he is activated or not. My thoughts have always been that the players who have taken the field at any stage during the year, have, even in small part, contributed to the club being able to play in a GF. Ive nothing but admiration for Jonesy and how he has stuck fat with the club through the worst of times.

I can't recall what the times were for tickets to go on sale, but do remember they were staggered by priority... so is it possible that they are not yet on sale? EDIT: just saw DCs post above... they are sold out.

This actually got me thinking. For any here who gave their barcodes out last week for people in WA wanting to attend the Prelim, is there a chance that they have then gone on to give them out to others who have come on here requesting codes for the GF, and so there may be a few people fighting for GF tickets using the same barcode? Could be interesting, particularly if there was money changing hands involved 😉

My son and I are yet to receive our emails from the club! I’m assuming it’s because we’re interstate members, but they had told me that we’d get them on Sunday, when I spoke to them late last week. Anyone else still waiting on theirs?

I doubt that Neale is being limited by just the border controls that the WA govt has in place. Had you considered that he may not be up to the trip and all that it would entail including medical assistance, personal assistance, comfort etc etc. I imagine that even a trip to the MCG might be somewhat of an ordeal for him, let alone a trip to Perth and back. As I suggested re Jones, I think a live video link that could be displayed on the large screen at the ground would be better. Hopefully they’ll be doing something like that pre game to the players room to get them gee’d up.

I’d be very careful if I were you. I can understand people coming on here and joining the group in order to try and source tickets, but when people join Demonland in the last day in order to try to sell tickets (I assume they’re selling and not giving away), alarm bells start ringing.

I was unable to attend in '64 and had to settle for listening to the GF on the radio, so I'm yet to actually 'see' us win one (unfortunately, I did watch us lose one on TV in 2000).
