NON-MFC: Round 22
These score reviews can be so annoying!! When itās for a possible āhit the postā, why donāt they go straight to the snicko thingy, rather than first trying to establish whether or not it touched, using vision that looks like it was taken from the other end of the ground and with pretty much just the one angle!!

Trade Targets
As it would seem unlikely there will be many, if any, gettable ābig nameā key position forwards up for trade, is Adelaideās Riley Thilthorpe a player that could be lured away if targeted? Iāve liked what I have seen of him, even though I havenāt seen a lot. A great forward target with a very good pair of hands. BTW Is there any way to search within the topic youāre currently viewing (it could save me asking questions that have already been answered)?

What was your excuse?
Firstly, Iām a paid up member living in Sydney who is financially bereft and therefore canāt afford the fare to Melbourne and necessary accommodation. Secondly, as a result of six months worth of chemotherapy, I have rather severe peripheral neuropathy that has somewhat affected my mobility. It would have been nice to see more punters there, as I believe thatās the kind of thing that can get us over the line in those close games, but like me, Iām sure there are many who have their valid reasons for not attending; particularly given the predicted weather conditions, the lack of parking, and, Iām led to believe, the interrupted train services.

The Run Home
For what itās worth, Hodge has us finishing the home and away season with one loss and in 4th spot!

CASEY: Rd 17 vs Frankston
Iām guessing that the spelling is the same, but is the Mynott playing for Frankston, any relation to the former St Kilda great?

Nuggets' Music Videos
Now THAT is my kind of music! He reminds me a little of the Melbourne based singer, Archer. This following song however, is in a style far removed from Jonesās bonesās. I love the fragility of the vocals and the sound in general; a great band in my opinion.

The top five teams you despise.
Collingwood and then in no particular order: Essendon, Carlton, Brisbane, Port

Nuggets' Music Videos
I like it, but it is a bit (well, a lot, really) over-produced and it does lack the frenetic raw energy (āpowerā belongs to Iggy), of the MC5 of old.

Another Article - From The Age Political Reporter James Massala
So that invalidates most of us here on Demonland who write about football? As was stated above by Bing181, itās an opinion piece by a Dees supporter; he has his platform, we have ours.

Dees Down But Not Out
I wasnāt potting him⦠it was a, as it turns out, very poor attempt at a good humoured shot at the use of āRoCoā⦠not keeping up with the āsocialsā and X in particular, I hadnāt known that he went by that ScoMo-like nomenclature.

Barter for Barrass
Iād much rather see us make a play for Max King. Yes heās contracted until the end of 2026, but that doesnāt mean heās not gettable.

Dees Down But Not Out
Iām usually the āeternal optimistā, but I cannot see any way out of the hole we have dug ourselves into. We had lost pretty much ALL momentum (not that we had a lot to begin with), even before the loss of Trac! The only way we could have any hope, would be if Oliver and Viney magically found form and showed some real leadership. Max canāt do it on his own, and even after Lever returns, itās going to be a big ask. I fear that our chances of making the eight, have vanished with the loss of Trac. I consider Hawthorn a better chance to play finals, than the Dees.

Christian Petraccaās 2024 Season Ending Injuries
Iāve also watched the slo-mo reply numerous times. My take is that Mooreās eyes were on the ball for the entire time (he never lined up Trac), the only way he was going to be able to effect a spoil, was to launch himself in the way that he did, and lastly (and probably most importantly), he did effect the spoil. Unfortunately when a running player launches, one knee will most likely be pointing out⦠if he had launched and it was obvious he had no chance of spoiling, then yes, there would be a case, but thatās not how it went.

Christian Petraccaās 2024 Season Ending Injuries
Ok, thatās all reasonable and yes, I understand why certain aspects of the game have had to be reassessed; the Maynard/Brayshaw incident being a case in point for change. Concussions have become an all too regular occurrence in the game and something had to be done⦠not that the change in rules seems to have had much effect, given the number of concussions weāve had this year⦠perhaps they need to make changes that will slow down the pace of the game? Injuries as weāve seen with Trac and May are far less regular occurrences, so I donāt know what the answer is there (again, slowing the game down?). Speccies (or however itās spelt š) can also result in shoulder and wrist injuries and even concussions, is that acceptable? Do we keep watering the game down, or do we accept that debilitating injuries, as rare as they may be, will occur from time to time? Itās a bit of a conundrum. And please accept my apologies⦠I wasnāt inferring that you were blaming Moore, it just struck me at the time of writing, that too many were.
