  1. I’m picking Geelong as they always seem to perform when it matters, then as much as I dislike the club, I love the way this Hawthorn team plays their footy, so I’m tipping them over the Doggies. I love the way that GWS play (like the Hawks, they play an exciting brand of footy), but I fear the Swans will get over them in a very close game. Brisbane will destroy a very under strength Carlton.
  2. Now that the Power Of the Rings season 2 is completed, he might find some time?
  3. At the moment I’m considering renewing just my son’s membership. At least we’ll still be supporting the club financially and I’m a rusted on supporter regardless.
  4. I’m weighing it up at the moment. Financially we are cash strapped, being in NSW means the likelihood of actually being able to attend games is not great, and lastly, my health has me in a position where, frankly, I may not last a full season let alone be in a state to get to games.
  5. The problem was that the finish to our 2023 season was the beginning of our woes… the media pundits were looking for something to get their teeth stuck into, and what better than a premiership team going out in straight sets, two years on the trot. Then almost immediately, they got to feast on the Joel Smith issue, Clarrie’s off off-season, Brayshaw’s forced retirement…and that was just for starters. I’m not sure that too many of the 17 other clubs had problems that outstripped those at our club.
  6. Not if they’re wasted by going out in straight sets.
  7. There’s a rumour she’s now a member of the Pies cheer squad?
  8. It’s probably just me (it usually is), but this topic is giving me flashes of the old Demonology site, particularly concerning events (a ‘hostile’ takeover, or attempted takeover; I can’t recall if it was successful) that pretty much led to that site’s demise. That’s not to say that Demonland is under threat, but just that the tone of certain posts directed at the board is somehow similar.
  9. How I miss the days when all the privacy you needed was pretty much just an unlisted phone number.
  10. Is it possible that Peter was insisting that because he had donated so much to the club, that he should have a say in how things are run? The board subsequently refusing to accept any further financial commitment from him, would, in that scenario, make some sense.
  11. I suspect that Peter Lawrence is a member of Demonland and possibly(?) engaging in this thread. Could @Demonland please reveal the name under which Mr Lawrence does post on these forums… surely he couldn’t object, all things considered!
  12. It strikes me, that if this is an accurate account, Trac is coming across as someone who is a little immature, in that he seems to have an issue with confronting those he believes are responsible for his dissatisfaction with the club. Alternatively, he may just have difficulty in being open and honest, something that many of us can probably identify with… that is something that would also reflect on his maturity. My own thought is that he could be listening to people outside the club (friends, family, etc), commenting on how his association with a club that is currently struggling both on and off field, is reflecting poorly on his, er, ‘brand’, and he is just incapable of stating that directly; as a result he is looking to place the blame everywhere except at his own feet.
  13. A good friend of mine and musician Mick Daley (has a band Mick Daley & the Corporate Raiders), has just released the third book in his D’Angel Moon trilogy. Launch is Sept 14th at some joint called The Loon Saloon, wherever that might be.
  14. NIBBA??!! 🤣🤣😂🤣
  15. I’m usually a bit of an optimist, but no, they have not been trying at all. They have been lazy, giving them acres of room, applying little to no pressure, constantly being caught flat footed, fumbling the ball, etc etc etc.
  16. I think it’s brilliant. They’re playing a psychological game where they unsettle their opponents by giving them so much free space to run around in; it’s the old if something is too good to be true, then it probably is.
  17. Lazy lazy football!
  18. Ok, I got it wrong (I obviously haven’t done my research)… glad you get a kick out of ridiculing me for it. Give yourself a pat on the back.
  19. I’d prefer they lure Brad Green across from wherever he is currently employed (Pies?).
  20. I like Kolt’s style… he’s like a shrinky dink (remember those?) version of Ben Brown!
  21. Not if we want the opportunity to put the final nail in Collingwouldn’t’s season 2024 coffin!
  22. Beautifully written… you put the media pundits on AFL.com to shame!
  23. Even more impressive was when they got around Pickett who was obviously feeling out of sorts and slightly embarrassed about his performance in the first three quarters.
  24. Ben Brown’s own ‘Mini Me’.
  25. Pickett has been the laziest player on the ground today… just jogging around, applying pretty much zero pressure… thankfully one of the only times he did apply a little pressure and got his only possession, resulted in a goal assist. I’m loving Turner’s game, Hore is showing a bit down back, Rivers managed to get himself somewhat back on track after a horrendous first quarter, Salem has been mostly good, but I have to wonder what has gone wrong with his kicking game. I’m not McVee is ready for a move to the midfield yet, having had only four possessions. Here’s hoping McVee, Fritsch and Puckett can get themselves more involved in the second half.
