Why on earth is it suddenly political correctness when the best & fairest winner who happens to play for the MFC women's team is afforded a thread to celebrate her achievement? Bizarre.
-
I get the feeling that the club may put him up as trade bait, but I also get the feeling that if they can't get a good return for him, they won't be unhappy to still have him on the list.
-
Or, to be precise, more of the same.
-
I would have thought he would potentially be capable of 70 - 80 in a very good season, but with Garlett running around adding 40 - 50, does it really matter?
-
I want a West Coast v Bulldogs GF... two most exciting teams in the comp.
-
Yep, a result of accumulating too many liquid assets as opposed to being paid cash at the end of the night.
-
It was the first couple of vertebrae so I think it was classified as a neck injury; but I could be wrong... my memory isn't what it used to be.
-
I wonder if it is in some way related to the neck injury he suffered at the end of the 2010 season.

The Rising Star Thread - Congratulations Jesse Hogan!

Hang on, that's a complete and coherent sentence... what have you done with ENYAW?
-
Robin Williams and Kurt Cobain were pocketing the sort of money that Buddy and Mitch could only dream of having... your arguments hold about as much water as the pasta strainer in my kitchen.
-
Seriously????? This has only just come to light, yet apparently Buddy has been suffering for quite a long period of time (years)... it only came to light as people began questioning his demeanour etc. An explanation was required. Do you think he went out bragging about having a mental illness? As I said, just because you may or may not have suffered some kind of mental illness, that DOES NOT qualify you to judge others as you of all people, should be aware that the black dog bites different people in different ways.
-
But you have absolutely no idea about their personal circumstances as you are not involved in their personal lives and are not privee to what is going on in their heads. How do you know they are spolit brats? On what do you base that? Provide some facts if you are going to make such assertions. Maybe you have experienced mental health issues... if that is really the case, then surely you would be aware that it affects everyone differently. Do you think the likes of Kurt Cobain, Robin Williams etc were all spoilt attention seeking brats as well? Just because, as you claim, you were a victim of mental health issues, that does not qualify you to judge everyone else who is aledgedly suffering mental health issues. And if you are bringing Buddy's attitude into question, then you would be as wrong is you could possibly be... he has put in maximum effort for most of last season and this season... he is in a team that has just made the finals again and unlike Clark, is in a position where he could once again reach the pinacle that all players aspire to... why would he turn his back on that if he wasn't in a bad place?
-
So you are saying that the black dog is based on income? You are saying that the likes of Clark and Franklin are faking because they are on large incomes? If that is what you are saying and if you believe it to be true, you have some serious issues of your own.
-
I understand that Biff... it was his little rant re Buddy towards the end that I was having trouble understanding.
-
Is this a serious post? Following you earlier post re the black dog (http://demonland.com/forums/index.php?/topic/39087-buddys-mental-health-issue/?p=1154493) I'm seriously having trouble understanding where you are coming from.

He does suffer mild epilepsy it was reported... but it was also reported that there is no link between the epilepsy and the mentalk illness that Buddy is suffering. http://www.sydneyswans.com.au/news/2015-09-08/swans-confirm-franklins-seizure

I posted pics from my trip to Melbourne on Facebook and included are a few from training and a few from the game (although I'm not so happy with the quality of those): https://www.facebook.com/tim.fleming.75/media_set?set=a.883458691689415.1073741860.100000758763064&type=3&pnref=story

One last post in here...

No, his favourite position is in the backline...he's not tall (yet)...but he is potentially a very good player (won the coaches award last year).
-
You're all correct...Max is now right at the top of the heap (along with Harmes) as of this past few days.
-
Max Gawn kept his word and the team won... https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=882982818403669&set=a.100368423331783.619.100000758763064&type=1&theater Liam has loved every minute of his weekend which went from great, to amazing to stupendous! Well done MFC and I cannot thank big Max enough for how he has lifted my son's spirits!
-
Just doing what I would hope any father would do for his child...but thanks anyway.
-
Went to training today and Jane from the MFC introduced my son to big Max Gawn who had a nice chat with him about recovery etc. really wonderful guy and my son was absolutely over the moon. And just when Liam thought nothing could be better than that, Jane has organized passes to the changing rooms post game on Sunday. I'm really happy that this trip to Melbourne has been precisely the lift he needed and I really have to thank the MFC (again) and more particularly Georgina and Jane for going that extra mile.

If you think I'm coming all the way down from Sydney with my son in tow (in his leg brace) only to give a quarter of the game a miss in some misguided "protest" (not to mention the fact that it would be a kick in the guts to Cross), you must have rocks in your head. Ridiculous idea!!
