I'm reviving this thread as Lin Jong is almost single handedly destroying Casey at the moment in the VFL GF. He is far more than just a VFL standard player. To come back from a broken collarbone inside two weeks of the injury occurring and to play the game he is playing, setting up most of the Dogs' attack ( and will likely play in next week's GF) is a seriously good effort in anyone's book...the Dees should be taking a serious look at him.

It's really difficultt to gauge just how good these players really are...so many of the shots of them taking marks, winning ruck contests, extracting the ball etc, are so obviously set up as opposed to being real action. But of the three finalists, I would think Matt is the most useful...however Daniel does look to have a decent skill set.

Fair enough, I obviously missed those posts...but were they fact or fiction? You would have to think that if there was any real substance to them, that the press would have been making mention of this when discussing Hogan's future.

This seems to be news that no-one here has any knowledge of, so how do you think people would be taking that into account? I have done some googling and the only reference I could find in relation to Jesse's father being ill, was from May this year and just happened to be from the poster Third Man Up on page 105 of the "The Incredible Hulk - Jesse Hogan" thread here on Demonland. I'm not sure that to have validity my comment is dependent upon Roos being at the club next year (particularly given the context; that is, the comment to which I was responding).

It certainly helped Neitz back in the day... wouldn't hurt to try it (although he does seem to take on a bit of a roving commission anyway).
