  1. I was waiting for your opinion Lenny, WJ also feels the same way.
  2. Is he getting a bit closer to Donny old dee, do you reckon?
  3. I don't disagree here, I good comparison. He is not so little though, standing at 1.86cms which surprised me.
  4. Hunt- Dashing and Daring. Gee I love this kids style and guts. So fast and fearless. I have stated a few weeks ago he reminds me of the great Don 'Dasher' Williams of the fabulous fifties. Like Donny he can mark as well as burn off his opponents. Williams style of play would have fitted into the modern game. I know old dee reckons I'm being a bit over the top in comparing Jayden with Don but GEE, this kid's got the lot. A real star of the future.
  5. What a really bad assessment of Jack Watts. In weather conditions not suited to a big man he did all he could to keep us in the game. 'Brave and gutsy' might have a more accurate comment. Joeboy does tend to be negative in his thoughts when we lose.
  6. Yep, he seems to be an eternal pessimist. You can't judge the team today in atrocious conditions. We are moving forward very nicely.
  7. Gee, Jack faster than Sam Blease. I wonder what time Jayden Hunt achieved in his 20 metre sprint.Does anyone know?
  8. Thought the same thing myself. If your knee is suspect it would not be able to do what Petracca did. Gee, he's a superb mover, so clean in his skills.Let's hope we have Angus back soon. What a pair.
  9. I was waiting for that Old Dee. Glad I was so wrong. I bow to your better judgment. Great win. Beating Collingwood TWICE in a season is a wonderful feeling. Cheers mate.
  10. Love his tackling, pace and relentless play. For the oldies on the site he could well be another Donny Williams.Wouldn't that be great!
  11. Viney- Courage, Guts and Leadership
  12. Exactly, some people are never happy. Win a flag by 10 goals and they would say should have been 15. Takes all kinds.
  13. 6. Gawn 5. Vince $. Jones 3. Kent 2. Petracca 1. T. Macdonald Apologies to Tyson, Watts and Hogan Special mention to Viney for his super courage for taking to the field. Iron man personified.
  14. Some people are never happy. Come on mate enjoy the big win over the enemy.
  15. This kid is great along with Petracca,Oliver,Hunt ,Wagner,Frost,Brayshaw Kennedy etc etc.
  16. What a whitewash. How did we let this mob beat us? Interesting stats on disposals though. Even though the difference was over 100 points Essendon had 433 disposals to Hawthorns 425. Just shows how some stats don't tell the real story. The one that does that is the scoreboard. Hawthorn had 66 inside 50s to Essendon 36. I do however remember a couple of years ago when we beat The bombers with less than half the number of inside 50 entries. Oh well, that's footy for you.
  17. Mr Connolly also didn't get his facts right on NN. He had Nick as averaging 31 possessions per game this season. Ha ha, it is actually 13.1 Bit of a difference. By strange coincidence, big Maxy also has 13.1 average possessions this season.
  18. He chased hard as he always does. Have another look at the replay. He chased hard trying to make up for his error.
  19. Disagree. That WILL come back to haunt us! Jeff will be sorely needed. He loves the big occasions. I will not be delighted if he kicks a bag in the 2s. Don't know who to tip now.
  20. Sadly, we have many members on this forum who come down on a player when he has a bad day.Quick to praise but equally quick to criticise. I strongly agree with your comments.
  21. Did not shirk the issue. What player did he shirk from? No one near him. Flew early and the floater didn't come. He is not lacking in courage. He will bounce back.
  22. Don't know the answer there but interesting that Jonesy was fined for wrestling. Was he wrestling with himself? I would have thought it takes at least two to constitute a wrestling bout. The other Wrestler not guilty?
  23. I would have given up watching footy if Bernie had been found guilty of striking. I was watching the last quarter at my tennis club and there was a loud chorus from twenty or so tennis mates," What? Do you call that striking?" That's an absolute joke." Pretty fair comment from a group of blokes who are either Weagles or Docker supporters. Bernie looked completely unfazed at this ridiculous report. Gee, don't we all love his commitment and fearless play. He is a great acquisition. Ump Pannell should change sports and umpire netball. Sorry girls, I know netball can be quite physical but its not quite at AFL level for physical contact.Great game though, so fast and skilful.
  24. Welcome back home Jaded. Hope you are wrong about getting smashed though. Go Jack Trengove!
  25. Interesting too that Ebert threw punches but had no case to answer. They appeared to be standing toe to toe and getting stuck into each other.
