Has a role to play when Max is back. Must be retained in the side. -
Demonland Player of the Year - Round 12
Bobby McKenzie replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
6. PETRACCA -what a gun! There are no limits to this kid's potential. 5. JONES- Great captain's game. 4. HUNT- See Petracca. 3. WATTS-Guts and more guts. 2. HIBBERD- What a recruit! 1. GARLETT- Fantastic forwards pressure and brilliant team player. So unselfish. -
Well done Jack watts to get fingertips on the ball in the nick of time.
-
Phew! I didn't know they did two matches per round. Thanks for the information Watts2Hogan.
-
I was so pleased to see Umpire number 15 officiating at the Sydney game tonight. No bald headed buzzard to kill us on Monday! Yay! Is his name Nichols?
-
Good story if it happens. Better make that 21 red and blue jumpers though and not 22. We would have exceeded our on field numbers otherwise. The AFL would love that to happen!
-
Red legs is a very old nickname AF. If you don't like 'Dees' then why not say 'Come on Demons" "Come on the Fuscias' might be going back a bit too far though.
-
We are called the DEES simply because we either Delight or Devastate. Love our team, BUT when will we turn the corner and be the team we really want to be.
-
It's a very encouraging sign if true which I think it is. This team has so much exciting upbeat. We are now a real team playing for each other. Well done Simon and Bernie. What better way for him to celebrate his 200th.
-
Regarding Matthews. You must have said that with tongue in cheek. Game's dirtiest player more like it.
-
old dee that's true, but we could have been 6-1 with a touch of luck and no injuries to Gawn and Spencer.Silly play by Lewis and Jesse didn't help our cause either. Surely you would have to agree that our best this year is superior to our best of last year? We were in a winning position in all 7 games. How long since we have done that? BTW I may be wrong but I think I could call myself older dee on this forum young feller.
-
Also not factual, Jack Reiwoldt hardly got a touch in our previous three encounters with the tigers. Due to have one good game. No respect? Rubbish! All 7 teams who have played us this year know they have been playing! Have a look at the relieved faces of the teams that scraped home against us. Richmond players were ecstatic to have won against an injury hit team with only two players on the bench. No doubt because they had not beaten us for three years. Sad that the writer saw fit to criticise Goodwin after just 7 games. Already, Simon has instilled hardness and a strong never give up attitude. We are certainly not a bruise free football team anymore. Simon just now has to develop that all important facet of our game CONSISTENCY! He will I am sure. Our best quarters are blindingly brilliant. Wait till we put four of them together and feel pity for the opposition. It's going to happen oh faithful ones. Go Melbourne!

I was only quoting what he said in The West Australian newspaper after their bad start this year. Bloody innacurate reporters!
-
Max Gawn not an A grader? You are a hard marker. Lewis too, not an A Grader?
-
Don't give up yet. Ross Lyon was quoted as saying the year that the the Dockers made the Grand final they were only had one and a half wins in the first 7 games. We are twice as good as that!
-
A positive poster at last! We have been in a winning position in EVERY game this year. Compare that with the previous seasons, What a gutsy fightback by the boys. In the past we would have rolled over and lost by 90 points.
-
Gee, Joeboy we lost by 3 points! Your analysis gives the impression that we had a 100 point loss. Very harsh judging.

TEAM SELECTION AND MATCH PREVIEW - ROUND SEVEN

Good comments Skuit. He may be more match conditioned than I thought. -
TEAM SELECTION AND MATCH PREVIEW - ROUND SEVEN

I think Wagner will miss. I really like his style of play and he has impressed me greatly BUT I don't know whether he has enough match play under his belt. If he was match hardened, I would have him in like a shot. A couple of weeks and he's in. -
I think it was just the Frankston jumpers being the same. As I said, I am going back a long way. Might be all different now.
-
Strange isn't it? We lose to Essendrug SECONDS last year and this year we thrash their FIRSTS! When at Frankston Primary School many kids were Bombers fans because Frankston footy club wore the same jumpers. I was proud to wear my Melbourne jumper to school and seen as being different. I have maintained my loyalty over many decades. Go the mighty Demons!
-
Gee, we still have Watts bashers in our midst. Have a look at the voting in our player of the year comp. I think you are out of line with your comments. But you are entitled to your opinion. Or are you just baiting me mate?
-
Have great holiday mate with many wins coming up.

Can't wait to get young Wagner back in the team.He and Hunt formed an exciting and attacking half back line last year. A very talented defender. Melksham will have to improve or else its Casey for him.
