  1. Cotchin, Hartlett, Dangerfield
  2. Agreed, i respect CG because they weren't shify when getting players up there unlike GWS. We should go after Cameron or Treloar etc when their contracts are up with GWS in 2013.
  3. It would be nice to win, but as long as someone knocks Scully into next week i'll be reasonably content
  4. Riley was probably assured a job at Carlton for winning (or losing?) the 'Kreuzer cup'
  5. You'll cop a few donuts in the backline....who is Forster?
  6. I think they traded one of the compo picks to GC last year, for pick 15 which they used on Smedts,
  7. Sure would, we know he likes to lie 'till he's blue in the face
  8. I doubt it, they'd have to trade for him, he's contracted for next year. http://www.carltonfc.com.au/News/NewsArticle/tabid/4311/newsid/94789/default.aspx
  9. Some Western Bulldogs supporters think that the dogs' Sam Ried will be traded to GWS in exhange for pick 5 or 7 on Callan Ward's request (they're best mates apparently)in a similar deal to the one you're suggesting. Surely the AFL would come down hard on deals like these that are obviously dodgy after the 'Veal deal' a few years ago.
  10. Callan Ward was an Essendon supporter growing up
  11. When did that happen?, it'd prove Scully's a liar.
  12. Is he for real? They won a flag thanks to their tanking for Buddy/Roughy. Hypocrite.
  13. Same here, all after i said at the end of last season 'I will never again pick heath shaw' D'oh
  14. He has said on SEN that his main source (4 weeks ago) was from within GWS, and it was confirmed by sources within MFC, make of it what you will.
  15. A primary teacher starts a new job at a school in Collingwood and, trying to make a good impression on her first day, explains to her class that she is a Collingwood fan. She asks her students to raise their hands if they, too, are Collingwood fans. Everyone in the class raises their hand except one little girl. The teacher looks at the girl with surprise and says: "Mary, why didn’t you raise your hand?" "Because I'm not a Collingwood fan,” she replied. The teacher, still shocked, asked: "Well, if you're not a Collingwood fan, then who are you a fan of?" "I'm a Richmond fan, and proud of it," Mary replied. The teacher could not believe her ears. "Mary, why are you a Richmond fan?" My mum and dad were born and raised in Richmond, so my mum is a Richmond fan and my dad is a Richmond fan, and so I'm a Richmond fan too!" "Well," said the teacher, in an obviously annoyed tone, "that's no reason for you to be a Richmond fan. You don't have to be just like your parents all of the time. What if your mum was a prostitute, your dad was a drug addict and your brother was a car thief, what would you be then?" "Then," Mary said, "I'd be a Collingwood fan."
  16. Q. Why is it so hard to solve a murder in the Collingwood Cheer Squad A. Because they all have the same DNA and no dental records.
  17. Yep wonder if it had anything to do with the grueling training session after the WC loss, probably just coincidence
  18. Does anyone know if he's grown at all?, I think he was ~175cm around the time our father son intentions were announced...
  19. Shattered is a bit dramatic, yes it's unfortunate but it's a hamstring not an ACL
  20. Agreed, it sounds like he may have changed. This post from Bigfooty gives a decent insight into what he may have gone through after being drafted "Thorp is one who merely struggled to make the transition to the relentless nature of the afl system. For those of you who don't know his background, Mitch grew up in a very small town in Tasmania and had very little experience with what he faced when he first moved to Melbourne. He always had an air of self-confidence about him, but I wouldn't say he was overly egotistical. From a very early age he was a very driven character, working extremely hard at his football. The amount of training AFL Tasmania subjected his body to ultimately led to his injury problems during his time at Hawthorn. Right up until the day he was drafted I had never seen him touch a drop of alcohol. Clearly things changed dramatically after he was drafted, leading to the aforementioned gambling problems. However his biggest problem was a battle with severe depression and anxiety, surprisingly caused by the weight of expectations from the outside world (doesn't seem too egotistical to me). This led to chronic insomnia, which saw him be heavilly medicated. Now I'm not saying that he didn't have his faults, but the story is much deeper than what is commonly reported. From my brief encounters with him over the past two months I can confidently say that he is in a much better place than he was prior to his delisting at Hawthorn. The drive is still very much there and his injury troubles are merely a thing of the past. I think he could be a very valuable addition to any club, but I'm not certain he will get the chance. Give him a chance fellas, if Tim Harrington believes he can add some value to your side, then surely that is enough?"
  21. Apparently he's had some gambling issues...just what i've read, have no idea to it's accuracy
  22. Rivers (Oct '84) is actually a few weeks younger than Gilham (Sept '84)
  23. There's a thread about Bassett here http://demonland.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=23088 Also on O'Donnell i think it was said on radio that he didn't want to continue in coaching
